"Nicky, no!"

Larry was almost immediately by his son's side, picking up the golden tablet dropped by startled hands.

"Sorry, bud. I didn't mean to scare you," Larry gently pushed tiles back into place, "I know most of the exhibits become interactive at night, but let's stay away from this one, yeah? And how 'bout you thank Anubis for not squishing you upon entry."

He carefully hung the tablet back in it's original place, walking his son over to the guard.

Distracted by a short conversation about how Nicky had come to know some Ancient Egyptian phrases, neither noticed when the tablet was encompassed in a dull glow.

Ahkmenrah felt a disturbance.

This wasn't unusual. He was connected to the tablet, and therefore, everyone in the museum. He could sense every time one of the army mannequins got stabbed, or when Louis and Clark decided to put differences aside for a night, or even when miniatures had parties.

He immediately knew it had something to do with his tablet.

Walking into his exhibit, he noticed the glow and calmly inactivated his tablet.

For some reason, he felt it was too late.
