Poetry, an art of expression and inspiration
Inspiration, a spontaneous act or vision that motivates a person
Spontaneous Act, something that has not happened to me yet.
I can tell I am reading a good poem when I need help understanding it.
Or maybe those are the only types I have read.
Maybe this is a poem and I am a poet and I didn't even know it.
Yes I do realize that is a cliche
But hey, this entire poem is about how I'm not a poet.
Poetry is supposed to be beautiful
With its ever so often alliteration
And rhythmic beat that flows through your veins like a river
But I don't get that.
My words are not fluent and free falling from my face
Well my mouth, but I was trying to use alliteration.
My vacuous vague vocabulary vacates my brain before I have found the perfect phrase to write.
I don't get a rhythmic rhythm that rattles through a body like a rattle
I have rhythm, but not on paper
I can keep a beat to a old Latin song in ⅔ time
But for some reason here, my rhythm is lost
Poetry is supposed to be beautiful.
But I can't do that.
So maybe I can vent in a lyrical way
A way that ticks you into thinking...
