**This goes out to my emotionally constipated guy friends here and home who, I can't force but it wouldn't hurt, if they just relaxed and broke down this hard exterior of man...this is also for anyone who wants a weird thought progression from me at 11;45 pm**
How do you tell someone you're scared or that you're intimidated by them, a force, a thought. What I've learned but haven't done is just...say it. At least that's what people tell me to do, because they just want to know the truth. But, I think we can all agree, the truth can be the scariest thing out there. It's an opening to who you are, what you think, and feel. Once a little truth is cut free and released, it's hard to cover and mend the wound from which it came. But like the famous chiche, "The truth will set you free". Yeah, alright, I guess, but it can also cause some serious shite in other places. That one freeing moment will only last so long. So just pick and choose when you share truth. Me personally, I tend to go three ways. 1) I will passive aggressively drop hints till you become frustrated. 2) I will shut down completely and you will have to pry the information from my emotionless eyes. 3) I will break down and just word vomit EVERYTHING you need to know and don't need. I'm still working on finding that one way that works. But, vocalizing fears is a step in courage and bravery. So, we can all try to take this step together and be a little more open (When the time is right of course). And maybe just maybe (let me have this optimistic moment, they're rare) things will slowly work themselves out.
