I apologize for being later than I had originally planned.
---
I snuggled deeper into the bed and pulled up the blanket. I then sneezed.
"Tissuesssss...."
I hated the cold.
As snow came but Christmas past, I grew a bit more bitter.
With the lack of money, I have not bought a decent heater or kotatsu. I spent my break in multiple layers of clothing in my bedroom.
My hand swiped the air feeling nothing.
"Hmm?"
I pressed my hand down and felt an empty box. I sat up with a blank face.
"Why?"
I became irritated and grumbled as I clambered out of bed.
Chills crawled up my spine as my feet met the cold floor.
I ripped off a piece of toilet paper and paused for a moment.
I blew my nose loudly and wiped it.
---
I stood outside of the building covered from head to toes shivering. I hadn't bothered to tie up my hair preferring it to drape over me blocking the harsh winds.
In my arms, I carried a bag filled with tissue boxes and toilet paper. I approached the street leading to the school as well as my home. Screaming filled the air.
Tch.
It's freakin January. Christmas is gone, I don't need snow.
I turned around the other way to walk home.
"Oi Herbivore, where are you heading off to."
I stopped and answered, "Home."
"Come with me to the school."
"I don't want to...it's too cold."
He glared down at me.
He whipped out tonfas.
"Go."
I looked at them and clucked my tongue. Tch.
I unenthusiastically replied, "Fine."
---
"Where are you going?"
"You wanted me to get them off property right? Or do you want to join them?"
I glanced out the window looking down at my "family" engaging in a snowball fight.
I tugged open the door to Aki-sensei's room.
"Hibari stay here."
I was about to close the door, but he stopped with his hand.
"My school. I can go if I want to."
He pushed pass me into the room as well.
I sighed.
I went over to Akira-sensei's desk and pushed a button underneath. A side drawer that was hidden opened.
I grabbed a snow launcher and closed the drawer.
"Okay, let's go."
Hibari looked at the desk then the launcher.
"Don't ask."
---
I leaned up against the snow launcher feeling annoyed. I stood next to a snoozing giant turtle as well two people stuck in a snowball. After joining the fight, I got pulverized with a giant snowball and now Hibari is doing what he could've done in the first place.
He held a snowball-turned lizard in his hand threatening Tsuna. He pretended to throw Leon causing Tsuna to flinch.
"I was going to, but I have work to do for the Disciplinary Committee. See you later."
My eye twitched.
After all the damn trouble I went through .
As he left, I tailed him, following him the Disciplinary Room, aka the reception hall.
"By the way I'm taking up on the promise from a while back."
He entered the room and stepped aside for me to enter before closing the door.
"Don't bother me."
"I have enough respect for others business...its just that it's warmer here than my home. So off you go to paperwork."
I unwrapped the many layer that I was adorned in and created a pillow and blanket for myself. I laid on the coach and sighed. "Ahhhh, so warm..."
I closed my eyes in content.
---
Hibari settled into his seat and looked up at snoozing girl and sighed. He shuffled through paperwork and started signing some. Approximately ten minutes later, he looked up slightly annoyed.
Rising up and walking over to Nika, he paused and loomed over her slightly smaller frame. Her dark hair was slightly damp and falling onto her face. Her cheeks were rosy, glowing from the prickling cold air from outside. She breathed in out and slowly through slightly separated lips. A gentle snore filled up the silent room.
Hibari stood there studying her face. He pondered as to why he has let her off the hook so often, why he let her utilize his room as a napping sanctuary. Allowing her to sleep peacefully as he slaved away on paperwork. Her peaceful face remained gentle unaware of the intense scrutinizing stare it was receiving.
She was interesting.
Standing up to him and stopping his tonfa and then running away the next second. One moment being a overly smart student and then making a stupid mistake the next. Her eyes were filled with experience unmatched to her young age.
She knew more then she should and appeared one day with no history except a few documents.
She was weird.

He couldn't understand it, and it annoyed him.
Her knowledge and age didn't add up.
He walked around to the back of the couch and pushed it.
---
I was knocked off the couch.
"Oof!" I sat up "why was that necessary?"
He stared down at me.
"Your face annoys me."
"How nice."
"I'm going to sleep now...finish the paperwork. Don't wake me up."
Hibari replaced the once Nika-occupied couch and left me irked. I stood there for a moment and stared. What? No.
I slowly reached into my bag and pulled out my paintball gun and a real gun, may hell break loose.
I held the paintgun at point blank range and fired. Hibari merely pulled out his tonfa and hit it away. Tch.
I jumped back to avoid Hibari's attack.
"Looks like you have enough energy to fight. That means you have enough energy to sign paperwork."
"Your paperwork. Your group. Get your henchman to do it."
"and have them ripped to shreds once again? I'd rather not."
I fired two bullets and jumped away.
Clang. Clang.
I swiftly turned around raising the butt of the gun to block his tonfa.
We stood there are weapons locked together refusing to budge.
He raised his other arm swinging it down as I blocked it with my other gun.
My arms trembled at the force that was pushing down on it.
I was a person meant for long range this wasn't my best area.
I looked up from the floor and my eyes met with his icy, black ones.
I slightly grunted as I began to talk, "You know in the time we spent fighting you could have finished that stack of papers right?"
He said nothing only continuing to stare into my eyes with an intense gaze.
My arms were weakening and were about to collapse. I prepared to jump back as I swung my arms back and away from his tonfas.
My foot snagged onto something and I fell backwards.
My tailbone ached as it collided with the floor. I supported my body with my arms as Hibari was on top of me holding me down. We looked at each other analyzing the situation.
I sighed knowing I had lost.

"Okay. Okay." I moved the cool metal from under my neck "paperwork."
I tried to get out of the situation quickly. Hibari pushed me down by my shoulders again. He leaned down towards me stopping in front of my face. I looked at him confused. Studying my face, he smirked. Bringing his lips to my ears.

He whispered, "You're hiding something. I'll find out what it is."
He tucked a piece of my hair behind my ear.
I froze, a shocking chill running up my spine. He stood up and laid on the couch. I stared at him from where I sat on the ground, confused.
---
Jillian watched the situation amused. She giggled. Oh Nika, Nika. So sad. So sad. You don't even know.
Looking at the sleeping boy.
She smirked.
She opened her mouth ready to speak.
---
Nika stood up and two words echoed in her mind.
'Challenge accepted.'
Nika paused. Jilian?
