Dying in a falling building isn't as easy as Harumi thought it would be.

She thought it would happen almost too fast for her to remember, but she stares down at the ground and watches it splinter like a spiderweb and thinks that this, this will be it for all her prophecies, exalted as they were,

(but she falls and then everything is slowing down, just like the movies.)

The ground falls under her feet like broken ice, and she watches rubble and clouds of dust swallow the bright sky, shattered glass raining across her vision and slicing across her cheek as the last light is buried.

She thinks about how ironic this is. And then she hits the ground, and everything stops.

But she doesn't die, like she's supposed too.

Harumi wakes up, something wet and faintly ironic pooling around her head, soaking into her damp hair. Everything is numb, like she's swimming in liquid metal and her limbs are melting away, numb in the way she isn't sure is better than pain, but then again.

It doesn't really matter now. (we have to go run)

She wonders what the chances are of making it out to die, but something is crushed heavy against her waist (it's kind of hard to breathe, but she's getting deja vu and someone is whispering in her ear and it digs in sharp when she shifts, as slight as it is.)

Then she decides she is going to die, cold and alone and in the crushed remains of a building Garmadon took down with her inside, and decides it's some sort of poetic justice the First Spinjitzu Master wrote up for trying to kill his grandson. (she doesn't think about her parent's faces closing away as the elevators doors shut, cold metal and a do not push against doors sign filling her vision)

Harumi doesn't think about death, or what happens after she dies, because that would be too  overplayed (and it suggests she deserved some sort of forgiveness, which. she doesn't but she wants. )

she blinks and her ears are a little groggy like she's just woken up but she can hear

her mom talking to her, voice rough with fear, baby we have to go, and buildings are falling but

something closes and mom's face is gone and all she sees are shoulders jostling around screams someones face is smeared with blood there is broken glass on the ground and it blurs

she can't hear her dad anymore he was yelling but something slices across her face sharp heavy pain her eyes are stinging and everything is

red but she rubs at them and

purple bleeds into her vision someone sneers and her ears are blocked the way they always are when the airplane takes off and she can hear someone talking but it isn't her dad

something is ringing her head hurts and a violent purple light singes into her eyelids she wants her parents but a voice fills her head and

Harumi wakes up.
