Saturday, 8th February, 1997

I stuck out like a sore thumb, and not a single ounce of my being cared. I was the only speck of green in an ocean of yellow.

Today it was Slytherin vs. Hufflepuff and I was cheering on both teams, which was very unheard of. It was a rare case of wanting both houses to win. I was getting a few weird looks from my fellow Hufflepuffs, but I couldn't help but smile.

Whoever won this match would go on to play against Ravenclaw in a few weeks' time.

Draco asked me if I would wear a Slytherin jumper whilst watching him, and I of course, said I would. I proudly wore his house, having everyone around us knowing that I was his personal cheerleader and number one supporter.

It was a bitterly cold February morning; I had a feeling it was going to snow later on in the day. I could barely feel my face, and yet, I couldn't be happier. It was the first Quidditch match that I got to spectate as Draco's girlfriend, and I was allowed to support him freely.

"Zabini now has hold of the Quaffle, successfully taking it from the Hufflepuff Captain, Luke Watson, and he's making his way to the three rings," Zacharias Smith, who was now the Quidditch Commentator, announced.

I sat up a little straighter as I watched Blaise expertly clutch the Quaffle and zoom over to the rings on his broom. Crabbe and Goyle were batting away Bludgers that were coming towards Blaise, who was having to duck his head down as he flew.

"Blaise Zabini scored! That's thirty now to Slytherin!" Zacharias commented with a hint of disdain.

Hufflepuff were still in the lead, however, with fifty points.

My eyes scanned across the Quidditch field to search for Draco. He was sitting stationary waiting for a glimpse of the Golden Snitch. My stomach rolled as I looked at him, because he looked so beautiful... he was almost ethereal.

I hoped he had some sort of Warming Charm cast around him, because he must have been absolutely frozen on his Firebolt, and that did worry me greatly.

"Watson and Baldwin are now in sights for taking the Quaffle from Zabini, but Crabbe and Goyle are making sure that doesn't happen," Zacharias announced.

I kept my eyes on Draco as he slowly flew around the pitch, and he deliberately took his time at the Hufflepuff stands as he did so. Our eyes met briefly, and I blew him a kiss to encourage him. He waved at me and winked before flying off again.

Draco was now sitting still again at the edge of the Quidditch Pitch with the Hufflepuff Seeker, a seventh-year boy, Oscar Amari, close by.

I shivered as a gust of wind rushed through us in the stands. I put my hands up to my mouth and blew hot air onto them to warm them up. My legs were bouncing up and down, waiting for something else to happen.

I only wanted to watch Draco, and I had no interest in seeing what anyone else was doing. I would never admit this out loud to any of my fellow Hufflepuffs, but a small part of me was hoping Draco would catch the Snitch.

I wasn't sure what was going on now, as it all happened so quickly, but Draco was now flying across the pitch in a deliberate sort of way, with a sense of purpose. He was glaring at Patrick; I knew that much.

"Baldwin has taken the Quaffle from Vaisey and is quickly making his way to the opposite end of the field, which on an old Comet 260 is pretty impressive!" Zacharias announced, with pride bellowing in his voice.

Knowing that Patrick and Draco were so close to one another made me incredibly nervous.

Patrick still had the Quaffle in his hand and instead of throwing it into the ring like intended, it hit Draco's Firebolt, causing him to tumble slightly. I couldn't hear what Draco was saying, only that he looked furious.
