Eda sat in the doctor's office, her fingers tapping nervously on the desk. Heart laced with fear. Her doctor told her there was something important to discuss about Kiraz's health.

Eda couldn't take anything negative, she felt sweat in her hands and shut her eyes. Her mind shifting to a time where she had already been through a similar hell.

Eda stopped the car in the Hospital's parking lot, they came for an appointement but were twenty minutes ahead. They often arrived ahead of time not to miss appointements, she was the one who mostly stressed about being on time.

She exhaled, trying to calm her anxiety and faked a smile for Serkan, her hand reaching to grasp his.

"Everything will be fine, just a routine appointement, I'm sure." Eda spoke gently with hope in her tone.

Serkan looked at her, seeing the fear in her eyes. "You know it's not a regular appointement Eda, stop lying to me and stop lying to yourself. You need to accept that - " Serkan was cut in his frustrated ramble.

"Serkan. I am not accepting losing you, tamam ? We're in this together, and we are fighting it, we'll overcome it together." Eda pressed, trying to push back tears.

She couldn't take one thing, anyone telling her there was no hope. Anyone telling her Serkan was 100% sure to die. Until he wasn't, there was hope. And Eda lived on this hope.

Her heart violently constricted as her hand moved to his chin, she stroke his trimmed beard gently, pouring all her affection into the gesture and Serkan closed his eyes, giving in to her touch as he leaned it and covered her hand with his, stroking her knuckles.

Both looked at each other in shared silent pain. There was no need to express what they felt again and again, words seemed to be just source of tension sometimes between them these days.

Eda leaned in, putting her head on his shoulder and closing her eyes as she shifted closer, inhaling his familiar scent as her heart broke in her chest. It hurt too much, it was a constant torture for her. Her whole being hurt with longing for someone that wasn't even gone yet. It was too hard to watch him get weaker day by day.

And something else hurt her and often created rifts between them. He seemed to have given up on hope, he wasn't fighting it anymore at times. Eda felt selfish pushing his limits, she wasn't the one bearing all the physical pain and exertion he did, but he couldn't give up, he had to keep trying, for her, for them.

Serkan shut his eyes, blinking in pain, he knew he was inflincting her endless pain. He kissed the top of her head.

"The tumor's grown, I am afraid." The doctor announced.

Serkan heard Eda's sharp intake of breath before he had a thought of his own. He looked at her, eyes filled with tears. Eda tried to mask the pain from her face but couldn't, her heart broke. It felt like a dagger was pierced through it.

"Excuse me." She rose and left the office, Serkan followed her to find her sobbing against a wall and his entire body hurt with pain, his heart violently clenching at her heavy sobs.

"Eda.." He touched her shoulder and she burried her face into his neck.

"Seni seviyorum...lütfen, don't leave me." Her heart physically hurt as she held onto him and Serkan broke too, seeing her like that, he embraced her back so tight, inhaling her sweet scent.

"I don't want to leave you Eda... sen çok seviyorum." He kissed her head repeatedly and Eda quieted, her heart broke even more seeing his tears.
