"You sure you don't want me to come in with you? I'm still pissed at the fact that she slapped you in your own crib and walked out as if nothing happened."

Eryzo sighed, shaking her head. She stared at her childhood home, dreading walking in to face her family. Her mom basically summoned for her to come over and from the looks of it she did the same for Erys and Eryonna.

"I got it baby, just be on standby because I know I won't be here long. Don't forget Narie has a project due this week, so you can go up the street to get the stuff. I should be ready by the time you're done." She replied, fiddling with her fingers.

Serenity noticed and carefully caressed her hands before bringing them to her lips. "I'm not going anywhere Eryzo. Don't let her get in your head. Remember what I said."

Yesterday after a lot of begging, Serenity finally persuaded Eryzo to come out of the bathroom. She reassured her that what they had was real and that she wasn't going anywhere. Serenity made sure that Eryzo knew that she was stuck and that no matter what her mom thought, it didn't matter when it came to their relationship.

After a reassuring and passionate kiss, Eryzo finally exited Serenity's car and dreadfully walked up the driveway. She used her key to enter and made sure to lock the door behind her.

She slowly walked into the kitchen, seeing her mom standing there with the same disappointed look, with her siblings busy on their phones. "Hey y'all." She mumbled, taking a seat at the end of the island by herself. While her sibling greeted her, she was met with silence from her mother.

"What the tension fa?" Erys frowned, noticing the hard mug that Shantè was sending Eryzo.

"Yeah, I'm so confused." Eryonna added.

"Y'all knew she was with a girl?" Shantè simply asked, not taking her eyes off her youngest daughter. She was disgusted and wanted to slap her again. She would've never thought that any of her children would like the same gender.

"I did." Eryonna nodded.

"No I ain't know that." Erys frowned. "You with a girl Zo?" He asked. Instead of being audible, Eryzo nodded her head staring at nothing in particular. She felt like a little kid, again, being questioned by her family when she was a full-grown woman.

"Yesterday I caught her ass with the girl. They was getting busy and everything. Heard her begging like a tramp for attention from this girl. It was so disgusting." Shantè scoffed. "You really should be embarrassed. I'm embarrassed by you."

"What's the problem of her liking a girl ma? You can't do that ni." Erys shook his head. "You can't go around judging her—Erys stop it!" Shantè cut him off.

"She is my daughter and it is my job to let her know right from wrong. At this point you just throwing yourself out there. You looking for love in all the wrong ways. You keep trying to get in these relationships because you're scared to be alone and you just went too far with this one. I will not have a gay daughter. You're not even gay you just want the attention." Shantè rambled off.

"This isn't your life to live mama. Why can't I live my life the way I want to?" Eryzo groaned. "You can't even talk about a love life, because, yours was messed up too, my dad was playing you and you were blinded by it." She added.
