Basically what happened here is that Voidus didn't get fully defeated, he instead used up the rest of his power to attach his soul to Ao-ki. she was the easiest to do so because of the whole control corruption thingy.
by doing so he now became a ghost of energy weaker than a trooper.
In this state only Ao-ki and the other lords can see him. He cannot interact with the physical world anymore and he has to stay in the guardians vicinity. He actually would like to leave her alone but the only way to do so, is to go into a pocket dimension all energy beings can go to (Where the troopers go when they get splooshed, they are not dead i will not accept that)
In that dimension time doesn't really exist. Troopers aren't bothered by that, they exist in a "head empty, no thoughts" kind of way. and find this endless, timeless place relaxing. Voidus however loses his mind if he stays there for too long. He also loses his sense of time and clocks don't work there, not that he could take any.
Ao-ki: "Hey, could you leave me alone for an hour."
Voidus: "Yes, i don't want to be here anyway."
