POPPY'S PLAN?⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
The fairy girl slept soundlessly on her bed, a smile adorning her delicate features. It's been two weeks and a half since she had arrived in this beautiful neighborhood that she had come to love in such a short amount of time.
She made new friends, learned new things that she didn't even know existed and got to explore more of the outside world. Leaving her home was the best decision she had ever taken.
Though she did miss her family, a lot, she knew it was time for her to spread her wings and leave the nest. Even if she wouldn't see them every day like she used to, she'd still see them. It's not like she'll never visit them again.
She'd go eventually and she would love if her family got to meet her new friends. Her parents were probably still paranoid about the outside world, but (Y/N) wanted to show them that it isn't like that. Not anymore.
It's quite beautiful actually...
Her eyes slowly opened as she let out a small yawn go past her lips. While still laying on the bed, she stretched her arms until she heard a small 'pop' which in return she let out a satisfied sigh. "Good morning to me..." She uttered and turned to look out her window, which was right next to her bed.
Her eyesight was still a bit blurry, since the light coming from outside was blinding her. The female proceeded to rub her eyes and when she felt it was enough she blinked and her eyesight slowly adjusted.
"Good morning to you too!"
"AH! WHAT THE-"
The fairy girl startled, threw her window open and looked at the individual outside her house with an incredulous look on her face. "Sally! What are you doing outside my window? You scared me!" (Y/N) yelled, a hand placed on top of her racing heart.
The sun girl in return chuckled and patted the girl on her shoulder. "It's good to rise up with the sun, that's what they say at least." Sally responded and backed up a bit from the still startled girl.
"Who says that?"
"I don't know, I heard it once."
(Y/N) sighed at that and ran a hand through her messy hair, still trying to process that she was awake. 'That's one way to wake up I guess.'
"Anyway... not to be rude or anything because I love when you guys visit me. You know, so suddenly, without a warning, at all. Uh... what do you need this early in the morning?" The (E/C) eyed female asked giving the sun a small smile.
"Oh! Right I forgot to tell you. Poppy made breakfast and asked all of us to go eat at her house. So I came to get you since you're the only one who is missing." Sally replied happily.
At least that made sense as to why she was at her house so early."That sounds great then! Let me go take a quick shower and get ready. Can you wait for me? If that isn't any trouble of course." The female asked to which Sally shook her head at that. "Yeah that's fine, I'll wait for you then."
(Y/N) nodded at that and went to her front door first to open it up for Sally. She didn't want to make her wait outside. Both girls exchanged a quick hug and then the fairy girl went off on her own to take a bath and get ready for the day.
Almost everyday was like that, in a sense that she was never alone. Sometimes she would hang out with Frank and talk about his love for butterflies, with Julie she would go out and explore the forest together, Poppy would teach her different recipes to cook, with Barnaby, Eddie, Sally and Howdy she would talk about almost anything and everything.
Now with Wally it was different. He would sometimes go look for her so he can teach her more about painting, but the majority of the time he would go look for her just to be with her. He was very interested in her life and in the things she loved to do and she appreciated that a lot. It made her feel warm inside.
The blue haired male would make sure not to miss any single detail about her and every time they spoke the more intrigued he got of her. It was nice having those moments...
Overall she was never alone and when she was, it didn't feel like it. It felt like there was always someone there with her.
"Okay I'm done!"
And with that they both journeyed together to Poppy's house.
Obviously it was a quick walk, considering the houses weren't that far off from each other. (Y/N) went up first and knocked on the door to Poppy's house. The two girl's waited like one minute until the door swung open and they were met with no other than-
"Wally!"
"(Y/N)!"
Both exclaimed happily and the fairy girl was the one to move first and embrace the shorter male. Though as always, Wally after getting hugged would freeze up and become instant dead weight. "Not again!" The female said and with that, both fell to the floor with (Y/N) landing on top of him.
"You really got to work on your hugging skills Wally." The voice of Barnaby came from the interior of the house as he approached them and proceeded to help his two friends off from the ground. "It's not that hard." He continued as he sighed and separated the two from the hug.
"Still trying to get used to it.." Was what Wally replied as he then gave his female friend a big smile to which she gladly returned with a small giggle.
"Yeah well out of the way! My turn." (Y/N)'s view of Wally disappeared when a certain blonde literally pushed him out of the way without hesitation and embraced the girl.
"I missed you!" Julie blurted out, rubbing her cheek against the fairy girl's. (Y/N) chuckled and returned her hug without delay. "We saw each other yesterday Julie."
"Too much time away from each other!"
This made Sally and Barnaby laugh at the monster's childish tantrum while the blue haired male only glared at her as he dusted off his clothes after getting up from the ground. For Julie looking so delicate said girl had some brute strength.
"Anyway let's go eat before the food gets cold." Barnaby, the voice of reasoning said as the other four smaller creatures followed after the big dog like little ducklings.
After reaching the living room they all greeted each other and everyone took a sit in their respective places on the table. They all had this unspoken seat placement so every time they would eat together they always sat down in the same arrangement.
For example, (Y/N) had Julie on her left side while Wally was on her right. On Julie's left side she had Frank and on his left he had Eddie. Eddie then had Poppy and to her left was Sally. Then it was Howdy on Sally's left side and for Howdy was Barnaby. And to finalize it, Barnaby had Wally on his left.
That's how they always sat.
"Make sure to eat everything and get ready because today I have a very eventful and long day planned for all of us!" Poppy said grabbing everyone's attention who looked at her confused. "Where are we going?" Howdy asked to which Poppy chuckled.
"You'll see."
