Forgotten but not Mistaken

Chapter 2

Ji Young catching up on some emails. She couldn't help but keep thinking about this morning. She's been looking at the photos for god knows how long. As she held the photo's in her hands her eyes watering a bit thinking about what she did to him and being completely ashamed of it.

A Year Ago

Ji Young was driving in from the airport picking up one of her boss's customers. Blasting the music she was being carefree; something she hasn't been able to do in a long time. As the next song started to play Ji Young turns up the volume "Hey, do you know this song? Come on sing with me!" Ji Young encouraging her passenger. Meanwhile her passenger, Park Jae Won was more confused than anything.

Mostly it was Ji Young singing...very off key but enjoying herself more than anything. As she kept on singing Jae Won couldn't help but look at her wanting to know more about this strange woman singing on the top of her lungs next to him.
"You know I was very curious about you" Ji Young still looking at the road in front. "Really? You were?" nodding her head "Yeah, I mean you rented a camper without a proper license so I took the liberty of moving it closer to the beach"

"Well I have had 2 wishes since I was 20. My first wish was to live in a camper for a month. And the second wish was to do nothing but surf for a month." The two continue to make conversation Jae Won now knows that Ji Young works at a restaurant named Ra Ra's. A very casual cozy restaurant by the beach. "So you how are thinking of getting around?"

Looking at the view on his side of the car "Well maybe walk or even take a bike around town" raising an eyebrow "What? You're kidding. You came out here just for the trailer to sit there?"

"I plan on sleeping in it too"

Pointing her hand in the distance. "Wouldn't it be nice to pull the trailer here and sit to have a cup of coffee" Jae Won muttering under his breath "I mean it would be nice" loud enough Ji Young took this opportunity to turn the car around "Woah, woah, what are you doing?" Jae Won holding on the car's handle.

"To drink coffee in a camper on a stormy day. To start, take your driver's test"

"What? A test?" He was getting nervous to where Ji Young was taking him.

Not having any time to think or say anything Ji Young has already pulled up to the DMV. Parking the car "Get out" Ji Young closing the car door. Still confused Jae Won hesitates but eventually gets out. This girl might be crazier then I thought Jae Won thought to himself as Ji Young gave him a big smilie.

"Come on I'll help you register. That way you can take the test tomorrow. I did the same thing while I was here. Took me just a day" as Ji Young was about to the front desk she stopped "Wait you don't have a picture do you?"

"No of course I don't" she pushes him towards the photo booth for him to take the photo. Ji Young answers the prompt on the screens as Jae Won was groaning not wanting any part of this what so ever.  "Ok say braised kimchi" Ji Young closing the curtain while Jae Won saw he only had 5 seconds before the timer went off. "Braised Kimchi"

As Jae Won was filling out some of his personal information he saw the picture "I look so stupid in this" Ji Young sticks the picture on the paper "You look cute" After filing all the paperwork Ji Young drove him to his camper. Dropping him off she had an hour or so to get herself ready for her shift tonight at Ra Ra's.

Later that evening, the restaurant was in full swing Ji Young was serving drinks. Checking in on all the customer and Even hanging out with some in playing a round of beer pong. Seeing Jae Won was able to make it to the restaurant she saw him from across the room having a good time. Ji Young gave him a thumbs up.

When all the lights went out for a bit making all the guest look around to see what could be happening. When Ra Ra on a mega phone said the games have started. Everyone gathered outside to the main lounge area.

With the monitor overhead telling the guest some prompts such as form goups of 2 men and 3 women or 2 men and 1 women. Ji Young stepped back looking at everyone having fun enjoying themselves. Soon there were only a few people left in the game Jae Won being one of them.

The last prompt read one man and one woman. When all there was left were men making everyone laugh a bit. Ji Young looking the other way felt her hand being pulled only to see Jae Won.

Pulling her towards the center of the group Ji Young could only hear everyone ooing and awing at the two of them. Everyone started to cheer and congratulate them on being the winners. Ji Young couldn't help but stare into Jae Won's eyes with a smile. As if they were the only people in the room both of their attention turned to the sudden fireworks going off in the distance. Still holding her hand they admired not only the fireworks but one another.

The following morning Ji Young woke up early and hitched Jae Won's trailer to her truck. Without him waking up she pulled into a pretty open area where Jae Won could practice for his test. Ji Young noticed that the window has opened indicating to her that Jae Won finally woke up. Jumping up to the window Ji Young greets him with a smile. Seeing that he pulls the blinds back down on her Ji Young couldn't help but laugh at him for a bit. "Come on out. You gotta practice." Stepping out of the trailer still a little sleepy Jae Won looks around and couldn't help but wonder how Ji Young found this place.

As if she read his mind "I practiced here when I going for my driver's test. It's been abandoned since then, but it is still private property. So we better hurry before anyone sees that I am trespassing and I am not a certified instructor to you. Come on let's go. You're fully awake right?"

Hitting his shoulder Jae Won couldn't help but scoff as the two of them made their way to the car. After a couple of hours of yelling and confusion from both parties. Ji Young was more than confident that Jae Won could pass the driving test. Soon afterwards Ji Young and Jae Won seemed to be spending a lot of time together from walking on the beach to Jae Won visiting her at work, to even Ji Young trying out surfing. As time went on they both fell for one another hard. Harder than either of them could have planned for.

Ji Young and Jae Won were surfing along the coast when a big wave started to come at them Ji Young not having enough time to react the wave took her out. Jae Won immediately jumped over to pull her up to take her to shore. As they were both sitting in the surf shop Jae Won has rented to make his own boards. He was patching up Ji Young seeing that she had a small cut on her forehead.

Their faces were quite close to one another. Ji Young looks into Jae Won's eyes then down to his lips unbeknownst to her Jae Won was doing the exact same thing. Both of them started to lean in they met in the middle. Pecking soon turned into making out with one another. Things were about to get heated when the wind blew through the shop causing some of the boards to fall down.
Making the both of them pull away from each other. Ji Young laughed first causing Jae Won to laugh and kneel in front of her with his arms on her lap laughing at he put his head down. Lifting his head Ji Young caressed his head and cheek as she got down to his level and started to kiss him.

Next thing you know they were back in Jae Won's trailer kissing on the bed. As they were kissing Jae Won pulled back and couldn't help but say "I love you". Ji Young's heart jumped a beat not knowing what to say. She knew deep down she really did like Jae Won, but she thought to herself was it too soon to say I love you to him.
Jae Won knew it was too early but he couldn't help but say it. Ji Young just smiled and the two went back to kissing along with other things.
