Recently we had some neighbors move in, I didn't think much of it, but today luara just HAD to invite them over to greet them
And trust me I love luara, she's like my LA mom, but Jesus christ why did she have to invite them over
She told me they have a son around my age, and an older daughter around the triplets age
As I sat there in the living room I hear a knock on the door
"Rylee would you mind getting it? Nick, chris and luara are out and I gotta piss" says matt
"Where's madi?" I ask
"She fell asleep in your room earlier, just get the door" he says as he walks off the the bathroom
I stood up and walk to the front door before opening it to see and older girl, with her little brother
"Hi! My names Elaine, and this is my little brother James, luara invited us over to hang out for a little" says the girl
"Oh, right, come on in" I say as I move aside to let them in
They walk in and I guide them to the living room
"Most of them are out getting some things for the house right now, but madi and matt, are upstairs, they should be down here soon" I say as I sit on the couch
Right as I say that madi walks down the stairs seeming as she just woke up
"Hey madi, this is Elaine, and James, our new neighbors" I say to her
"Oh, hey guys, sorry I just woke up" She says
"Oh don't worry about it" Elaine says as she smiles at her
"Come on, I'll show you sound the house" says madi
"Alright, James, you stay here with... I'm sorry I'm not good with names" says Elaine
"Rylee" I say
"Yep, you stay here with rylee james" She says before walking off with madi, leaving me and James alone
"I like your shoes" says James
I can tell he's trying to just make conversation to fill the awkward void of silence that filled the room
"Thanks" I smile before continuing
"I just got them like, last week, I think" I say
"Oh cool" he says before Silence fills the room again, and we just go on our phones
A/N UGH ik this is short and not a good ending to end on but I really have to pee and will forget about it later if I leave it here :)
