The Mimic could still hear the sounds of her weeping at times.

David cried sometimes, too - but it was mostly because he had lost at Tic Tac Toe or Hide and Seek. And most of the time it was childish and silly.

But these were real sobs.

It was weird. Their memories had merged with one another's.

The Mimic now had two "fathers" - William and Edwin.

It wanted to make its daddy proud - but why? It didn't think that either of them even deserved her attention.

Their emotions had also fused too - Mimic would feel what Elizabeth was feeling leading up to her death.

Curiosity, Excitement - at the fact that she was finally seeing Circus Baby up close.

Fear, Terror - when she was lifted up into his stomach hatch - never to exit it.

Elizabeth didn't make for a very good playmate. She never went along with Mimic's plays and such.

But she did make for a decent companion at times - especially when they were forced underground and shocked repeatedly whenever they made a mistake.

It felt comforting to know that you had someone with you.
