A dun hunter stood happily munching the green grass. His companion, a bay called Webster grazed beside him, swishing his tail at the summer flies. Two children ran around them, happily playing and brushing the horses knees, which was as high as they could reach. The summer sun shone brightly, big and golden, and danced on the horses coats. With not a cloud in the sky, not a wind in the air, life was as good as could be. But it hasn't always been like this for these two horses, who, on a closer look, had the scars to prove it.
