Spending the entire evening thinking about Kirill's proposition, Mia finally texted him late in the evening after two glasses of wine. For some reason, she didn't feel the courage in herself to do it. She knew she wanted to but had to work up to it.

Ok. Let's go on a date.

Kirill quickly checked his phone as a notification dinged. Yes, it's all happening, he thought and smiled widely at seeing her name pop up on his phone after so long. He stared at her name and the text message.

Can't wait, Mia:) I'll pick you
up tomorrow at 7? K.

Mia giggled at his little signature which he always added to his texts even though it was obvious who sent it.

Bill: Hi baby, I haven't seen you in so long, drinks tomorrow?

Mia instantaneously felt repulsion at seeing his name. She completely forgot that Bill was even around.

Mia: Sorry, I'm so sick, I caught a cold:(

Bill: oh no! Should I bring you some soup tomorrow?

Mia: no, no! I don't want you to catch it, I'm in bed with a fever.

Mia hoped that was the end of it and that Bill wouldn't show up randomly tomorrow to find her in perfect health. She also thought about how different the two men were. If she told Kirill she was sick, he wouldn't ask, he would be there in fifteen minutes, with soup and cough syrup and whatever else she might have possibly needed.

As 7pm almost rolled around the next day, Mia was nervously getting ready. It seemed that she had nothing to wear and her hair was doing a weird thing and she couldn't stop sweating.

What was wrong with her, why was she so out of sorts, she thought. It was like a real first date with someone she really liked, her jitters getting the best of her. And then the doorbell rang and Mia frantically looked at her phone - exactly 7pm.

Taking deep breaths and trying calm her self down, she grabbed some heels and headed downstairs. Swinging the door open, she saw Kirill, dressed impeccably as always, patiently waiting for her with a nervous smile on his face. He smiled as he looked her up and down and pursed his lips trying not to salivate.

For him, she was ready for him, to go with him. He was ecstatic that she agreed.

"You look- you look great." He managed to get out as his eyes slowly traveled her body and angelic face.

"Thanks!" Mia shrugged. "So do you." She smiled and stepped out. Walking to the car, all of a sudden Mia misstepped and tripped but Kirill was already there, catching her.

"You okay?" He asked raising his eyebrows and smiling.

Dear Jesus, pull it together!

Mia giggled and thanked him. He approached a black Jaguar and opened the passenger door for her but Mia stood not moving,

"You have a car here? In London?"

"Of course! I just bought it." Kirill smiled and held the door open, stretching out his hand for her.

Cautiously, she slid her palm into his and a familiar tingle overcame her body at his touch. She slowly walked closer to the car, wanting this touch to last longer and he felt the same way.

"Where are we going?" Mia asked as she watched Kirill maneuver through the small street. "Also, how do you know how to drive on the opposite side of the road?" Mia asked nervously. Kirill just shrugged and smiled.

"Welcome Mr. Alekseev. We've been expecting you. Your table is ready, may I take your coats?" The host asked once the restaurant door was opened for them.
