I looked at my watch, "No, no, no! Im running late for work!" I whispered.
I came to a halt, wait its daylight savings so I'm early I thought to myself. I looked at the place left to me, it was the coffee shop I went to yesterday. I walked inside and saw the guy from yesterday siting alone. I got my latte and sat in front of him.
"It's so hard to bike in the snow," I said.
"Why are you sitting with me?" he asked.
"Do you want me to leave?" I asked.
He hesitated, "No I guess, but why bike when you're rich enough to afford a car?"
"It's relaxing and a good method of transportation," I said.
"I see," he said.
"I'm Amanda, and you?" I asked.
"Alexander but you can call me Alex," he said.
"So, what do you work as?" I asked.
"Waiter," he said, "I work at my parents restaurant."
"Why did you get so mad at me yesterday?" I asked.
"All the rich people that come to the restaurant always make snarky comments about me despite not knowing a thing about me," he said.
"I understand, I used to be a waitress too," I said.
"You? A waitress?" he said.
"I loved interacting with people at the restaurant I worked at," I said.
he smiled, "I love interacting with people too."
"Yeah, everyone has a story to be told, y'know?" I said.
"Yeah," he said, "I guess so."
