CASSIDY WAS PASSED OUT ON MIKE'S COUCH, Eleven’s head lying on her shoulder, but the smaller girl still had her eyes wide open, awake as ever. Lucas and Abigail — through a lot of argument — managed to bandage up the Solace’s hand, the burn mark bright and awful. Dustin had his hat in front of his face as he tried to think about what had just happened and Mike started to pace around with deep contemplation. Mutters were passed about the room, each person in absolute awe and distress of what had happened mere hours ago.

“What was Will saying?” Mike questioned, his voice low and thoughtful as he stopped in front of Lucas, Abigail and Dustin on the opposite couch.

“Look, I know he’s my brother, and he’s missing, and everything, but… that’s what you're working out right now?” Abigail frowned, her eyes wide in absurdity. “Our best friend just fucking fried a radio with her own bare hands. But, sure, let’s focus on the transmission. Did anyone else catch when Will started singing the Y.M.C.A?”

“You’re joking about this?” Mike complained, furrowing his eyebrows at the girl.

“Of course not. I want to help my brother, Michael, but there seems to be other problems popping up out of the curtains as well,” Abigail retorted, rolling her eyes and falling back into the cushions of the couch. Her eyes stared over at her best friend asleep on the other side of the room, the blood flowing steadily through the new bandage.
