I was sweating as we decended down the stone steps, it was nearly unbearably warm. I was kicking myself for not having changed into the offered dress earlier.

Talos seemed unbothered by the temperature, he wasn't even breaking a sweat. Figured that a devil could handle such high heat.

As we continued on our downward decent I could start to hear screams and the crack of objects tearing into flesh. I could also smell blood, the sweat of unwashed bodies as well as other less appealing scents. I nearly gagged as Talos moved me through rows of locked rooms.

My nails dug into the back of his hand which had him glancing down at me," What the fuck is this place? Why are you torturing these people?"

I fought the rise of panic, worrying about what state I'd find Aida in.

Talos laid his other hand over mine practically pulling my nails from the back of his hand. I could see the crescent moon indents where my nails had dug into him enough to even draw blood, I flinched.

He frowned at me as I rushed out an apology," Sorry. Im so sorry, this place is a little intense."

He shocked me further as he said gruffly," I love having you mark my flesh and spill my blood, you don't need to apologize. I enjoyed it."

He smirked at my shocked expression. He leaned closer to whisper," I will have your nails clawing my back as I part those pale thighs and fill your aching cunt. Your body demands that I please you. You've been without for too long, I can tell from your scent. "

I gasped at his vulgarity and felt myself flush at the image his words put in my head.

"Why have you been denying yourself ? Even without me to sate you, you have been denying yourself pleasure, why?" He was looking at me curiously waiting for me to answer him.

I groaned," I'm not talking about sex with you, especially not here when people are being savaged. How unhinged are you? You also conveniently ignored my question. Tell me Talos what is this? "

He shrugged at me," It's business. I'm a devil love, this comes with the territory. You never complained before, then again you were always kept away from this side of my affairs. Do you feel pity for these mortals?"

As my frown deepened, he sighed and told me," You shouldn't, they deserve to be here. These people are not innocents. They are rapists, murderers and even worse. Please don't fret about these souls, they were damned well before they ended up in my care."

"I...I see. Why have you put Aida down here amongst these lot then? Please tell me you haven't hurt her?"

Talos rolled his eyes at me," Honestly woman. I have to keep telling myself you've forgotten who I am. I can assure you I'm not a monster. I have ethics. She has not come to any harm in my care. I've sequestered her down here for her own safety. This place is the most secure part of my home. As I've told you earlier, a cleric is a high commodity, the others would do just about anything to get their hands on a soul like hers. Now enough questions come."

He grabbed my hand and pulled me forward once more. It wasn't nearly enough questions but I needed to see for myself how Aida was faring so I relented and let him lead us further into this disturbing dungeon.

Talos stopped us in front of a large steel door guarded by two winged demons. Talos nodded at them and the one on the left moved instantly to open the door for his master.

I noticed the other one leering at me.I started to say something to the demon but Talos grabbed the creature by the throat and hefted him easily off his feet. Talos was dangerously calm as he spoke," If you wish to keep your head I suggest you find something else to look at. She is mine and you will not disrespect my wife in front of me. Beg for her forgiveness, your fate is up to her mercy."
