Chapter 44 - Fiera, the Creator of Fire, Saves Our Asses. Thanks, Fiera.

The ground split open.

I mean, literally.

The ground split open and between the lands bubbled fiery hot lava. It looked like it was being boiled.

Slowly, a female figure made up of fire stood in front of us.

"Who is't did disturb mine own catch but a wink?" Her voice boomed. She was speaking in Monastese. Her voice was silky.

I bowed.

"Greetings, Fiera. I summoned you." I stated in a low whisper.

I turned a bit to see that Theodora had stiffened behind me.

Actually, everyone had stiffened.

"How dareth thee summon me? Who is't doth thee bethink thou art, puny m'rtal?"

"I am a granddaughter of Soulane. I demand justice. Your priestess, Theodora Spinch is very keen on destroying my planet when we never harmed her."

"Who is't is Theod'ra Spinch?"

"She is," Arya said.

Fiera's eyes shifted from me to Theodora.

Her eyes narrowed and widened, then softened. Suddenly, her appearance changed.

Her hair went from fiery colour to pitch black. The colour of her eyes changed into hazel. Her skin tone was fair and she wore a gown which looked like fire was stitched into it.

"Talya?"

I turned around just to catch her expression.

For the first time in my existence of fifteen years, I saw fear in Theodora Spinch's eyes.

"Who am I?" Theodora's question greatly confused me.

"Talya. Mine own priestess. The one who is't hath broken the rules of being a priestess. The one who is't hath killed h'r fath'r and did cause a war between Monastasia and Eyanar. The one who is't wast did betray by ev'ryone the lady did love. The one who is't madeth an holidam to destroyeth the magicians. A broken wench. The lady wast human bef're, thee knoweth."

"What?" Dylan asked, feeling the same as me.

Fiera flatly ignored him and said, "I hath tried finding thee but t wasn't easy. I nev'r bethought yond thee w're a god."

"Demigod," Theodora corrected.

My eyes almost popped out of my sockets.

"What?" Fiera asked.

"My mother was a human when she gave birth to me. Afterwards, Jack turned her into a goddess. Eventually, I kind of became a goddess too. But, I'll always remain a demigod."

Fiera shook her head.

"What art thee doing h're, Theod'ra?"

"I want to destroy Monastasia," She said in that psychopathic tone again and turned towards us. "And, these puny mortals cannot stop me."

"Those gents can't, but I can," Fiera said sharply. "I won't just let you destroy my planet."

"Gods don't interfere," Theodora reminded the eternal rules.

"But I'm nay goddess."

"I thought you knew me? If you do, then you must know that I will stop at no cost in achieving my goals."
