"Hey, wanna go out tonight? We haven't went karaoking in a while." The Cho suggested, his head laid on the table and his eyes following the hands of the other female who was taking hand notes.

"I can't sorry. I have to go work then there's a party." Minji replied, head still hung down to the page as she listened the words of her professor.

"Eugh." Changmin exclaimed. "So fancy and busy. No more time for her best friend." He sulked, digging his head into his stretched arms that laid across the table.

"Sorry~" The Choi sang in apology. "Next time."

After several minutes, the class ended and the two separated off to their next schedules. Changmin returned home while Minji headed to the company building. It was true that they have began to spend less time together, but that doesn't mean their friendship deteriorated.

Sliding into her seat at the office, she clicked and replied to a few emails and continuing on with her assignment, her time sitting there flew by quickly as the sun already began to set.

A knock arrived at the door. "Come in!" She yelled, just like her father did whenever he had a guest. "Oh, Wonwoo-ah."

"Hey, Minji. Are you getting off work soon?" The Jeon asked, he was dressed in a work-appropriate suit and had his the strap of his leather satchel in his hands.

"Soon. Are you going to the party tonight?" The female wondered, eyes diverting from her computer screen to the standing black-haired male at the door.

"Jeonghan's mothers birthday party?" She nodded. "Yep. See you there." He smiled before bidding his goodbyes and exiting her office.

"Wow, he really looks good in glasses." The Choi mumbled after he left.

The house maid handed her outfit for tonights event. It consisted of a silk, light blue long dress that reached her ankles. It was sleeveless and used a matching ribbon to hold it up around her neck.

Firstly, she started off with a bit of natural makeup, then combed and tied her hair into a half-up-half-down style, allowing her curtain bangs to fall on the sides of her head. Then, she changed into the formal outfit.

She looked at herself through the full-body mirror, adjusting any wrinkles or imperfections on the clothing, in which it didn't have anything. It sat perfectly on her body, as if it was made for her.

Picking a few pieces of jewellery from her case, she slid on a few silver rings as well as a layered necklace that embellished her exposed chest. She stuffed her purse with a few essential items before it was time to leave.

This time, she was heading to the party with her family, in which the location was just down the road.

Even if the destination was just a two minute walk, the step-mother recommended that they get the designated driver to take them there. Obviously, that was just because she wanted to pull up at the party to show off the vehicle as if her and her husband were the main characters.

"Gosh, is her ass that lazy that she can't walk?" Minji insulted inside her head, "Such a bother to the driver." She stared out the window and their drive only lasted a few seconds because they arrived straight away.

There were many fancy and older people from outside. Many were clothed in dresses and suits, with various pieces of expensive jewellery and accessories. Lots were gathered outside in the front yard with their drinks while others were inside the huge and contemporary house.

The driver opened the door for them, bowing as they exited the vehicle and into the family home.

"Bora!" Youngmi called out once she found the birthday woman. The Shim was dressed in a white blouse along with a floral skirt and her usual pearls scattered across her figure.

The parents of the two families continued to converse, leaving Minji on the side, standing with upright posture as she smiled to them.

"Minji, why don't you head inside? There's lots of food and Junghwa is waiting for you." The elder Kang insisted, her polite tone was contrasting to the sound of her step-mother.

She nodded and on her way inside, the woman whispered; "Don't eat. You're already gaining enough fat." She spat into her ears.

Minji sighed with an inhalation, feeling her stomach rumble but she knew she was right.

She made her way into the house, where Jeonghan's sister, Junghwa, greeted her.

"Hi, Minji." The female Yoon smiled. "I've seen you so many times but I haven't talked to you." She joked. "I'm Junghwa, if you didn't know."

At first, the Choi assumed she was a strict and cold person but in reality, she was extremely sweet and welcoming. She was a few years older than her.

"Hey, Junghwa." Minji smiled in response.

"Do you want to head outside? There's more food out there and Jeonghan and his friends are there too." She offered.

The Choi didn't know how to respond, simply nodding and allowing the older female to guide her outside. She had never been in their back yard before - It had a large pool as well as an outdoor conversation pit that included where all Jeonghan's friends were.

She glanced over to the male Yoon, who sat extremely close with Soojin. They must be close, she assumed. Well, they were best friends.

"Hey, Minji!" Wonwoo called out and all the attention within the younger ones drifted to the Choi who stayed close with Junghwa.

She raked her orbs over each of them, it was all males and the Jang, only female. There were also a few who seemed to be from either China or America. Smiling to the Jeon, he patted the seat beside him and Junghwa gently pushed her towards him with a teasing grin.
