Carat Estates Anniversary Party.

"Congratulations! On your company and your marriage." Jinho toasted, patting the younger male on his back as he smiled in return.

"Thank you." Soon, a female figure approached him, locking her arms with his. She was dressed in a right, red wine sparkly dress that outlined her slim figure, along with various pieces of gold jewellery that adorned her outfit.

"Congrats, Jeonghan. I haven't seen you all day." Soojin grumbled, pressing the side of her body against his as she bowed to the elder male.

"Well, I guess I should leave the soon-to-be husband and wife alone, right?" Minji's father joked, heading off to a group of other colleagues with his glass of champagne. While walking off, he looked down to his wrist watch, examining the time.

I hope my daughter isn't late again.

"Soojin, you don't need to fake this act wherever we go." The Yoon sighed, feeling slightly uncomfortable in his position.

"What do you mean? We need to- So that the public recognise it. And, you know... fake it 'till you make it." The Jang smiled in response, facing the towering male.

"Soojin, you know this is all forced and fake. Stop trying, please." He inhaled. Ever since their upcoming marriage was publicly announced, their friendship had gone one-sided, against eachothers' will.

The female raked her orbs over the features of the male, indeed, he was so handsome. She was so proud to call Jeonghan her fiance, something that would've never happened between them without the assistance of her parents.

She loved Jeonghan. And she knew he didn't love her back. Nonetheless, she would try as hard to make him feel the things she felt for him. She would go pass the lines just to protect or have him. Maybe a little too much over the lines.

She was overly driven by the thought of love and selfishness. Like everyone else, she wanted her lover for herself. Unfortunately, that wasn't the same way Jeonghan believed it should go.

"Jeonghan! I mean- sorry, Chairman Yoon." Mingyu coughed, noticing how stiff his friend was so he decided to give him a little help. The said male laughed in response, pulling himself out of his 'partner's touch to head over to his friend.

Soojin clenched her jaw, "I swear to fucking God, it's that bitch Minji." She swore under her breath in a mumble.

The male Kim led his friend over to the rest of the group, passing by a few other colleagues and friends that greeted Jeonghan.

"Chairman Yoon~" Minghao sang in a stretched tone, dabbing up his friend.

"You just got the CEO position and you're already out here celebrating the birth. How lucky." Seungkwan sulked. "Either way, let's party!" The Boo cheered, raising his glass of wine.

"Where's Minji?" The Yoon interrupted, leaving his friend's toast unattended.

Seungcheol looked around his surroundings, "I think she's with Junghwa or Wonwoo."

Jeonghan also noticed the missing presence of the Jeon, something in his system made him jealous. A small 'oh' slipped from his lips as he dropped his head to face the ground.

"I know you so well Jeonghan." The Choi laughed, the two of them began talking while the rest of their friend group drank and chattered amongst themselves. "I told you, you were too late."

"I don't even like her-" His speech was paused when he watched two figures enter the venue from the main door, their bodies close while they smiled.

His eyes observed the female figure, her hair was tied into a high bun with her curtain bangs framing her face. She was dressed in a red, wine dress that wrapped across her body, along with a pair of black heels that matched her aura.

"You so do." Joshua commented from behind, startling the male. "I don't want my friends to fight over a girl, so get it over and done with." He sighed.
