Sinead's standpoint

How the hell did they know each other? I made sure Mordecai never set his eyes on her when we were dating. I knew even then that if he had met her, he would have fallen for her charming personality and her so-called kindness. Keeping them away from each other was the hardest but best thing I ever did in my entire life, so how does he know her? Or maybe I'm reading the situation wrong.

Yes, definitely.

Glenda went on her knees between his legs and took his left hand. I always wondered what kind of gift she had. She could detect what was wrong with someone's health just by checking their pulse. It didn't work all the time, but most times it did. It wasn't just her, I remember well that her father and his brother could do the same, only that her father, having studied medicine, was better. Father said it was a Newton kind of gift, just like her hypnotizing eyes and soothing aura. It was hereditary from mother to daughter. It was ridiculous but real and Glenda perfected it more than any member of her family ever could.

"Daddy, are you drinking any tea or something related? Herbal perhaps?"

"Ah, yes! My new doctor gave me this nice tea for my health, it tastes good too."

"Hmm, I see," she stood up, "and how long have you been taking this tea?"

"Three to four months, can't remember."

"Okay, the tea is nice," she pulled out a small box from her handbag, opened the black box, and picked out something that looked like chocolate balls, "just do me a favor and eat it, it will support the tea." Mr. Gabriel didn't protest, he gladly ate what she gave him.

"Autumn," Mordecai called, walking over to us. They know each other!

"Oh yes!" She hurried to him. They were talking in whispers, shifting her weight from one foot to the other. At some point, he looked bewildered, then she gave him a quick kiss and then ran. The confirmation of a lost battle. "I promise I'll make it up to you! I just have to attend to this child or he'll die! Happy birthday, love!" She shouted as she ran off. She stopped at the door and turned. "Anderson, call Chelsea, she'll explain better. See you all when I get back."

I stood where I was in shock, the bitch did it again! She is always a step ahead of me! I'd lost before I even started.

Mordecai's standpoint

"Okay, what about this?" Aaron asked and flexed his shoulders. "Do I know you? Because you look a lot like my next girlfriend." Jaxon and Anderson were teaching Aaron pickup lines while I laughed with three other guys. Jaybie, Blake, and Kuc. They used to live in the street, weren't rich but were managing well under Aaron's control, and were reliable allies.

"Seriously? Of all the ones your head could think of, that one?" Andy sighed.

"Aaron, who would pick a girlfriend only based on first looks? Let me answer that, only a guy with little experience and few options or bad luck. Try again." Jaxon scolded.

"Er... What about this one I heard from a movie? Are you religious? Because you're the answer to all my prayers."

"That's just making her head swell, you don't even know her. It can only work on ladies who think highly of themselves. So unless you want to scare the mild woman away, don't use this like ever!" I replied. He huffed.

"If you and I were socks, we'd sure make a great pair."

"Too bad, not all ladies wear socks and that is only funny when you and her are already friends. Next." Jaxon said dismissively.
