Brianna's standpoint
I tapped my nails on the steering wheel as I drove back to my house. I spent the whole day working and we finally sold the shares. The plan was going great, especially because it was provoking Landon more and more. I was so glad, very excited to the point I even forgot about Jacky. Well, it came back once I was driving home back to loneliness.
I was torn up because I hadn't seen the news where he publicly announced that he was in love or anything like that. He didn't come to the office as promised either, which meant I was on my own. Jacky had moved on, he never liked me as Meredith and Autumn claimed. I was back to square one.
It wasn't a new experience but that didn't mean it didn't hurt. It didn't mean I wasn't feeling the pain of rejection. Maybe I should just give up and never think about love because it's obvious my stars are cursed. The thing with Landon is the third successful thing I achieved, and I hadn't even successfully completed it yet. I guess this is my life, this is how it ought to be.
I sighed and turned into the street of the estate where my house was. I quietly drove to the gate, letting the silence add to my sorrow. The gatekeeper opened it for me. I drove in, parked my car, and stepped out. I quickly ran into the house, the urge to cry was getting too much.
After crying in the shower, I fell on my bed with just my towel tied around my head and body. I picked up the phone to check if he had messaged me. He did.
Him: Hey princess, guess what I did two hours ago? (Wicked smirk)
I contemplated if I should answer him or not since he didn't truly like me as he said. That message was five hours ago. I bit my lip and replied because a part of me still had hope.
Me: what did you do?
He wasn't online, so I had to drop the phone. I used that time to change and dry my hair. Once I was in my comfortable sweater dress, I went back to my phone.
Him: shouldn't have done it! I shouldn't have done it! I didn't think it through before I did and I blame you.
Me: what did you do?
Him: don't tell me you haven't seen it yet! It's all over the net!
"What is this person talking about?" I mused. I went to a popular site to check the latest news. If he did something bad, it ought to be there. When I checked at work, I didn't see anything. I entered the site and checked for the latest.
JACKY OLSEN FINALLY SHOWS HIS GIRLFRIEND TO THE WORLD.
I tapped that one. My toes were already curling up with excitement and anticipation. I did the sign of the cross before I scrolled down to read the article.
Hollywood actor Jacky Olsen, who has been rumored to have never been in an exclusive relationship, finally shows his girlfriend. Jacky first hinted that he had one during an interview yesterday evening. (Christine's Chat) Christine, the host had teased him about living a single life and Jacky replied with:
"And what makes you think I've been living a single life?"
Christine further questioned him if he even knew how having a girlfriend feels like or being in love and Jacky replied with:
"Maybe I do, maybe I don't."
Any further questions were waved or shrugged off by Jacky. Later in the earlier hour of today, Jacky had gleefully shared the pictures of him and a particular girl to most of his social media accounts. The pictures and the caption clearly state that the woman in it is the lucky one who has finally claimed the heart of the American Joker.
"Not too long ago I was asked if I knew how it feels to be in love or have a girlfriend, the answer to both is yes. Even if we haven't been together for long, my heart can never beat for anyone else other than my princess."

I scrolled down until I saw some of the pictures. It was the pictures he forced me to take whenever we met, before Autumn's wedding. The pictures were too convincing, especially the wedding. He was very touchy that day and indeed the pictures made us look like a couple, even if we didn't kiss. Though he was kissing my cheeks a lot.
I dropped my phone, got on my bed, and started squealing at the top of my voice. I bounced and shrieked, even turned on the music box to celebrate. After screaming until my voice cracked, I rang Autumn first.
"He did it!"
"Who did what?… Cai, stop stealing the fish," she snapped.
"But it's tasty," I heard my brother whine.
"Get out of my kitchen, now!" I could hear him grumbling. "Hey! Come back with my fish! Brianna, I will call you back because I have someone to kill… Mordecai!" She hung up. I giggled. Maybe I would have that love too. I called Meredith next, she had been trapped in Aaron's bedroom since their date the previous day.
"Uhm, hello?" She murmured sleepily.
"Merrie, are you available to talk?"
"Uhm, yeah? What happened?"
"Your brother, he announced that we are dating," I squealed. That seems to snap her awake.
"He did what?!"
"I just saw the news, check it."
"Eff it! That is such wonderful news! He really did?!" She shrieked too.
"Yes,"
"Did he mention your name? Add any links or—"
"He said he loves me only, but I'm sure reporters and bloggers would track my identity before tomorrow evening. I can't believe it, I really can't!"
"Since they think Autumn has been dating your brother for years and I'm her cousin as well as Jacky, that would be how you met or whatever story you guys would plan. If I'm right, Jacky would be at your doorstep—" The house intercom buzzed before the gatekeeper's voice came.
"Miss Timberlake, you have a visitor and he insists on seeing you." I quickly slid out of the bed and pressed the green button on the connected one to reply to him.
"His name doesn't happen to be Jacky Olsen, is it?"
"It is." I squealed silently. I put the phone back on my ear.
"Merrie?"
"Calm down, don't let your excitement show and go sexy,"
"Thanks, Merrie, you are all the best. Wish me luck!"
"Good luck," she giggled, "now go out there and catch his heart,"
"Bye." I hung up and pressed the button again.
"Don't let him in yet, tell him to wait for me to reply and then let him in seven,"
"Okay, miss." I dropped my phone on the bed and ran to my closet to change what I was wearing. I hastily rummaged through it until I found a little black ruffled lace dress. It was simple, sexy, elegant, and suited to wear at home without raising suspicion.
I wore the dress, messily braided my hair so it wouldn't look like I was trying too much, rubbed a little ear fragrant, and sprayed my palms. I was grateful that all my clothes had my scent, no matter how many times I washed them. So I didn't have to wear any perfume that would make it obvious. I didn't wear makeup except for my nude chapstick. I brushed my eyebrows and artificial eyelashes up. I looked good enough without being obvious.
"Are you really doing this, Brianna?" I mused as I looked at myself in the mirror. "Of course!" I shouted when I heard the gate start to open. I spun on my heels, slipped on my slippers, and ran out. I ran as fast as I could down the stairs and to the front door. I breathed to calm myself down before I opened the door and walked out with a look of annoyance.
