continuation of can i be him?
Travis looked over at her and her boyfriend. He took a sip of his drink and just looked at the two of them. She was smiling, but she didn't look exactly happy. Her boyfriend looked like he was over being at the event and he was ready to go. It had been three months since they first met up. Three months of secret meetings. Three months of cuddling and leaving. Three months of slowly falling for each other. Three months of stealing kisses when they could if they crossed paths like they were today. And three months of them being together, but not being together. In both of their eyes, they were dating. In both of their eyes, they had a future together. In both of their eyes, they were playing a dangerous game of cat and mouse that they needed to figure out how to end.
"Travis." Jason, who was sitting next to him, snapped his fingers in front of Travis's face, grabbing his attention. Jason followed Travis's gaze, to see who he was looking at. "Oh." Travis had told his brother about what was going on in his personal life. Travis knew his brother didn't approve of how he was handling the situation he was in, but it wasn't something he could readily change. He wanted her. He wanted to be with her. But her boyfriend was standing in the way of that happening.
He took another sip of his drink, before picking up his phone. He sent her a text and watched her. Watched her look down at her phone and pick it up. Watched her look up and look around the room. Her eyes finally fell on him. A smile crept onto her face once their eyes met. She texted him back and flipped her phone face down onto the table she was sitting at.
Travis got up from the table and looked over at her. Seeing that she was looking at him, he gave her a head motion to follow him. "Where you going, Trav?" Jason asked his brother.
"I'll be back." Travis fixed his suit jacket and grabbed his phone and left the table. He headed in the direction of the restrooms, waiting in the hallway. It wasn't long before she appeared, her clutch and phone in hand. He grabbed her, pulled her into the restroom, and locked the door behind them. He pushed her back against the door and looked down at her. "Fuck, I wish I could kiss you right now." He told her, his hand gently wrapping around her neck. Her red lipstick would be a sure sign of their intimacy if it were to end up on his face or on his white shirt. "What made you bring him with you tonight? Trying to make me jealous?" He asked.
"No, apparently it was always in his schedule to come. He just never told me. And I didn't know you were coming." She told him truthfully. If she knew he was going to be there, she would have prepared herself better for this moment. It had been a couple of events where they had been there together. They always ended up off in a corner somewhere together. Holding on to each other a little too long. Kissing each other a little too sneakily. The only difference now was that Joe was also in the building with them. "You can't just put your hand around my neck like this and not kiss me." A seductive smile crossed her face. This was one of her newfound favorite things. Something about his hand around her throat was so sexy, so intimate, such a turn-on. It made her want him more. It made her hate Joe more. "I have makeup wipes. I can get it off." She told him. She wanted those kisses. She was going to convince him to give them to her.
"You're lucky you're cute." Before the smile could fully form on her face, his lips met hers. She wrapped her arms around his neck, making herself completely comfortable. He removed his hand from her throat and picked her up, walking her over to the sink. He sat her down, letting his hands roam up and down her legs as they continued to make out. "Why'd you wear this shit?" He asked, once their lips parted briefly.
"I wouldn't have if I knew you were here." They were both frustrated at her choice of clothing. She was wearing a pair of black stockings, that he was scared to even touch too much. He knew that material all too well and how easily it could tear. She had debated on the stockings for over an hour as she was getting ready and finally decided on them, now she was regretting it. There was no other point of the night that she was going to be able to see him.
"He going back to London? Or staying?" He asked between kisses.
"Staying," Taylor replied, a frown on her face. They both looked at each other, trying to catch their breath.
"You gotta break up with him." He rested his forehead on hers. He was tired of the hiding. Tired of dancing around if her boyfriend was in town or not. So was she. She was scared of how good she was becoming at lying. That had never been her. She was always so open, and honest, about everything. But for some reason, she couldn't be honest with Joe and break up with him. She wanted there to be a solid reason for her to do it. Something that he had done wrong that she could use as her reason.
"I know. I'm going to. I swear." She told him, pulling his face close to his again, kissing his lips again. They needed to get out of this bathroom, no matter how much she wanted a quickie. The stockings she had on were a nightmare, and she didn't want that problem.
"I'll be in Philly at my brother's for a couple of days, so I won't be that far away." She nodded, kissing him one more time. Why were his kisses so addicting? Why could she not keep her lips to herself? She wanted more but she knew she couldn't. "You say the word and I'm back in NY." She nodded and he removed her from where she was sitting on the sink. She turned around and looked in the mirror at the two of them. They looked so good together.
"We look so good together." She told him. He looked in the mirror at the two of them as well, cracking a smile.
"Can't wait until it's official once you break up with your brother." He teased, and she rolled her eyes. Travis teased her over and over again every time pictures of the two of them popped up just how much she and Joe looked like siblings and not boyfriend and girlfriend. Joe looked more like her to him than her actual brother did.
She went into her clutch, pulling out the pack of makeup wipes. She took one out of the pack and turned around. His hands rested on the sink and his face was dangerously close to hers, given the way he was leaning downward. She grabbed his face with her thumb, middle, and ring finger. She kissed his lips one last time, making it last longer than it should have. "You are something else, you know that?" She laughed at his question and started to wipe the lipstick off of his face. How was it that he was so into this girl? How was this even real to begin with? Once she finished cleaning his face, she turned back around, looking in the mirror at herself. She touched up her makeup and hair and took a deep breath. They both had to get back out there and pretend everything that just happened didn't. "You ready to go back out there?"
"No." She turned around and wrapped her arms around his neck one more. He responded by wrapping his arms tightly around her, into a hug. He rubbed her back, not wanting to let her go, but knowing that he had to.
"C'Mon. Let's get back out there." He told her. She let out an annoyed sigh and they let go of each other. He unlocked the door and peeked out, seeing no one around. They snuck out of the restroom, and he let her go back out and waited. Once she figured she made it back to her seat, he emerged and went back to his. Sitting down next to his brother again, he caught his brother shaking his head. He didn't care though. "Mind your business, Jas." He told him and looked over at Taylor, he had settled back in her seat and was talking to her boyfriend. She glanced up briefly, their eyes connecting, before she directed her focus back to Joe, who was still talking to her. He didn't know how much longer he was going to be able to keep this up.
