a 11 year old gwen stacy found herself having trouble to sleep. usually she would listen to music but she couldn't find her headphones.

she had remembered that she left them in her mom and dads room earlier when she went to talk to him.

she got up out of bed and exited her room.

she could hear a faint noise coming from her parents room. her dad was at work tonight so it had to be her.

she approached her parents room -
and slowly opened the door.

she could hear her mom "screaming" so she slung open the door

"gwen!"

her mom shot up from the bed

gwen could see a man covering himself with a blanket on the bed.

but. but it wasn't her father.

(present day, gwen pov)

"mom?"

"hi baby"

there. there stood my mom. 7 years ago she cheated on my father. she was gone never to be seen again, until now.

i always told everyone she was dead. because to me, that night she did what she did. the person i know, the mother i had, died that night. she is no longer that person

"i've been wanting-"

i bumped into and brushed past her wiping the tears from my eyes.

"please don't walk away! please gwen"

i ignored her.

i reached the sidewalk until i heard another person call my name.

i turned to my left and there stood my one and only brother.

"howard? HOWARD!"

we ran to each other into a embrace both falling to our knees.

"i missed you so much" i said

"gwen, i thought- we came to see dads grave"

"that's why i was here too"

we stood back up as my mother approached us.

"gwen honey"

i looked over at my mom.

"came back to ruin my life a little more huh, leaving out of the blue with my brother and cheating on my father wasn't enough huh?"

"gwen i came to see your fathers grave"

"oh so you had no plan to see me, figured. honestly mom where have you been, you've been gone seven years, you know that right? but not once did you contact me"

"gwen i couldn't"

i walked up and came face to face with my mom.
