the room was pitch black.

pure darkness filled up the room.

the silence almost made you believe you'd had no ability to hear at all anymore.

you grew paranoid when you heard footsteps in the dark.

the light turned on when a bead-y string was pulled.

you looked directly in front of you.

seven men, soon eight when the one that was previously behind you joined the group again.

you shuffled in your seat, just then realizing you were tied up.

"good morning."

one greeted.

he was standing directly in the middle of everyone.

"who—"

"sh."

you were cut-off by one of them who was most definitely the tallest out of everyone.

"you don't need to speak. we just need you to listen for now."

he continued.

you wanted to disobey his words, but decided against it.

you didn't know what they were capable of; whether they were armed.

"we need intel about your mother."

one said with a stricter tone.

he was also the one who'd turned on the light.

"what about her, specifically? everything."

another predicted your question.

"we need payback."

the one in the middle spoke again.

"she and her army of bodyguards kidnapped jeongin here."

a blonde main started speaking, walking behind who was presumably jeongin.

"we're just so skillful that we busted him out, and she's well aware."

the one who turned on the light was staring daggers into you, causing a chill to run down your spine.

"sure, we stole her precious daughter, but that's not enough."

one that hadn't spoken yet stepped forward.

"we plan to leave her with nothing. no money, no protection, no shelter,"

the tallest one listed on his fingers, then turned to you.

"no daughter."

"what are you gonna do to me?"

you quickly spoke for the first time.

"we aren't gonna kill you. not yet."

tall one smirked.

all eight of them bursted into laughter.

"we're not killing you. just keeping you until she feels hopeless, then we'll figure out what to do with you."

lightbulb guy attempted to reassure.

you sat there, a million thoughts running through your head.

"hyunjin, it looks like you really scared her."
