you felt your ears go numb as you heard the gun fire.
you were frozen for a few seconds as the bullet punctured his chest.
lee know fell to his knees with only a smile on his face.
the group was silent as the cops ushered you away.
your body was frozen.
"no..."
you muttered.
"not you too...i couldn't handle seungmin's, what makes you think i can handle this too?!"
you shouted with tears streaming down your face.
"lee know..."
you inhaled.
"lee know!!"
you pushed your way past the cops as hard as you could.
"y/n!"
chan chased after you and grabbed your wrist.
he pulled you back from the crowd and held you in his arms.
you fought back but he had a good grip.
hyunjin's face was a pale white, felix covered his mouth with tears pricking his eyes, changbin's eyes glistened as if he were to cry, and jeongin stared at the scene.
"they killed him, they're murderers!"
you pointed at the officers.
"y/n, calm down!"
chan raised his voice.
"no! he was murdered in cold blood for no reason!"
"he wanted to die, you get it?? losing seungmin wasn't easy for him so he did this to himself!"
he was completely yelling now.
"no..."
you fell onto your knees.
"y/n, get up off the ground. lee know would—"
you interrupted jeongin.
"lee know doesn't want anything. lee know is dead!"
you got to your feet and ran.
it didn't matter where you ended up.
whether it be a soc's house or canada.
you didn't want to be there.
he followed you though ... chan.
"y/n, just stop!"
he called out.
you went weak at his voice.
why?
couldn't tell you.
you just felt your legs give in and you fell back onto the sidewalk.
you sat there, holding in tears and digging your fingernails into your skin.
chan finally caught up to you and sat beside you.
he wrapped an arm around your shoulder and whispered softly into your ear things like,
"calm down, my love," "shhh," "don't cry. i hate seeing your pretty face sad," etc.
you wrapped your arms around his abdomen and the two of you switched to a full embrace.
he softly kissed your shoulder and rubbed your back.
you held him firmly.
who knows what could happen next.
maybe he'd be the next one. the next death.
you'd truly be miserable if that happened.
if something were to happen to chan, you'd never forgive yourself.
"please stay with me..."
you said in between sobs.
"always, my love, always."
he responded in a dash.
the two of you remained in each other's arms for a little while longer, comforting one another.
