you were sitting on the couch while hyunjin was out for groceries, staring at your phone.
the tv was playing random channels and stations.
it wasn't until a severe weather warning came on, making you wonder if hyunjin would make it back in time before the storm hit.
after a few minutes, the lock on the front door was being fidgeted with.
you turned your head up to see the door, eagerly awaiting for hyunjin to open the door.
he swung it open, his whole outfit soaked in rainwater.
he had three grocery bags in one hand and his keys in the other.
the water streamed down from his pale face onto the floor.
you couldn't help but smile.
"i'll get the rest of the groceries. you look like you need a warm shower."
you tried to take the bags from him, but he resisted.
"and what if you get sick?"
he set the bags on the counter.
"what if you get sick?"
"i won't."
he smiled and walked toward the front door again.
before thinking, you raced after him, the frigid waters coating you immediately.
as you shivered, hyunjin shook his head with a laugh.
"come on. you can't chicken out now."
he said, grabbing a few bags.
"i'm not !! i just didn't think it'd be this cold ..."
"it's rain, my love. did you think it'd be warm?"
he closed the trunk of the car, handing you a bag.
"let's go."
he ushered you inside.
you set the bag down on the counter when getting inside, shivering even more now.
hyunjin shook his head.
"go shower, y/n. i'll put these away."
"no. i'm going to--"
hyunjin shook his head and picked you up like a child.
he walked toward the bathroom and dropped you inside.
"and you're not leaving until you're done showering."
"or else what ?!"
you yelled.
"or you're sleeping outside in the rain and thunder."
"THAT'S CRUEL !!"
you hit the door.
"maybe you should shower then."
he said, leaving it at that.
you sighed in defeat and showered, washing away any feeling of cold from the rainwater.
you quickly dried your hair with a towel (as well as using one to wrap around yourself) and wandered into your room to get clothes.
as soon as you finished changing, you dashed back into the living room.
hyunjin was sitting at the counter, still soaked.
"aren't you cold?"
you frowned.
he got off of the chair and approached you with a smile.
his hand gently grabbed your chin.
yes, he was cold.
you couldn't tell if it was his freezing touch or touch in general that sent a shiver down your spine.
his lips ghosted over yours, just barely touching them.
his other hand landed on your hip.
"i don't know. you tell me."
hyunjin then pulled away with a scrunched up nose.
"you took ages !!"
with that, he rushed into the bedroom presumably to get clothes before he showered.
you were left there with a racing heart and a bit of an upset expression.
you threw yourself back onto the couch, staring at the tv.
hyunjin came out thirty minutes later looking refreshed.
he spotted you staring at your phone, oblivious to your surroundings and attacked you into an embrace.
you were taken off-guard and jumped a bit.
you then laughed and made yourself comfortable in his arms.
the two of you watched tv while being comforted by the other's touch, hugging each other a bit tighter every time a loud boom of thunder was directly above the house.
one even led to the power shutting off, leaving you to scoff.
"don't you think it's better like this?"
hyunjin said, kissing your cheek.
"well now i can't see anything, so not really. plus, if it lasts a long time then it'll get really hot in here, and now we can't even leave the couch because we'll run into--"
he shut you up by softly caressing your lips with his.
his touch was heavenly and made you euphoric.
you quickly responded back, matching the pace at which your lips moved at.
even in the dark, he managed to perfectly connect your lips together.
when you pulled away, hyunjin hummed with a small laugh.
"how about you stop talking and enjoy the peace with me, alright?'
he intertwined your fingers together as you rested your head on his shoulder.
"fine."
you closed your eyes as he gently caressed your hand and whispered sweet nothings into your ear.
"i could stay like this ... with you ... forever ..."
