"What the fuck Draco! Pansy just lured me into an empty classroom and grilled me about our relationship!" Harry yelled as he burst through the door of Draco's bedroom. Draco shot up from his desk at Harry barging into his room so suddenly. "What? Seriously?" "Yes seriously! I felt like I was on bloody trial!" "Shit. Shit! Harry I'm sorry I honestly had no idea she was going to do that. What did she say?" "She asked who I was seeing; though she made it pretty obvious she knows it's you. Then she kept saying how we're all friends now and we tell each other everything blah blah blah...she basically threatened that I ever hurt you-" "But you won't."

"Still! She hounded me for answers I didn't know what to say!" Harry was flustered. He didn't like raising his voice, especially around Draco but there really was no one else to go to about it. He walked into the centre of the room tussling a hand through his hair, he didn't want to sit, he was too angry. He found himself pacing the room while Draco tried to contain the situation. "Just say it's me and that we're an item now...how hard is that?" Draco shrugged. "If it's so easy, why haven't you told her then? She's your best friend!" "Because you were the one who said you weren't ready to be exclusive about us!" "And you are?"

"Sort of...well...no...I mean...maybe it would be nice for our closest friends to know, that if they can keep it quiet...look, I want what you want. I don't want to rush you but.." "But what if I'm not ready for everyone to know?" "That's fine but they're onto us Harry, I really don't think it will take them much longer!" "Not if she's going to interrogate me like that!" "I'm sorry I didn't know she was going to do that! I didn't realise she'd givin it so much thought, she's never questioned me about it. I'll talk to her okay?" Draco assured, trying to calm the tension. "Absolute psycho" Harry shook his head in anger. "She's only interest in us because she's my best friend and she's happy for me. Why are you so scared of us being open, it could be great."

"Oh yeah, wouldn't that look amazing to everyone else. 'Harry Potter the boy who defeated the Dark Lord sleeping with a Death Eater'!" Harry bit. Draco felt a sting at Harry's chose of words. The Dark Mark remained on his arm for life but he'd hoped Harry wouldn't see him that way anymore. His heart hurt at that remark, like a dagger twisting into him. "You don't still see me as a Death Eater, do you?" Draco asked cautiously. "No, of course not! I'm sorry I shouldn't have said that..." Harry buried his face in his hands trying to rub the stress from his temples. "I don't see you that way anymore but other people might not be so kind."

"I don't care what other people think, Harry!" "Well, I do! I'm sorry but I've been in the spotlight my entire life, sometimes it's simply easier to keep quiet about things so you don't get hounded day and night." "Well it seems as though Pansy knows anyway, what difference does it make if everybody else finds out about us?" Draco asked, crossing his arms with irritation. "I don't like feeling exposed. I don't like everyone talking about my life and I certainly don't like feeling threatened! I've felt that my entire life!" "Well so have I!" Harry furrowed his brow and looked at Draco confused, angry adrenaline pumping through him a the uncertainty of where this would go.

He'd never fought with Draco like this since they got together. This time raising voices at one another was dangerous, there was more to lose now. "Seriously!? Your school life for the first five years was drama free. You never had anyone staring at you or spreading lies about you. The most you had to deal with as a child was controlling parents who still gave you everything you wanted." Harry bit. "Parents who were too scared to stand up for me when the Dark Lord threatened to kill me if I didn't become a murderer! And I'll I've had since returning to school this year is people whispering about me and staring, so I guess we're even." Draco shouted.

They were both in the centre of his bedroom now, the tension was rising fast and neither of them could hold back their anger. "Draco your parents were looking out for you!" Harry barked. "They were waiting to weigh up their options, to find the right time to fight back! They would've died if they went against Voldemort-" "Well maybe they should have!" Draco spat. Silence rung across the room. Harry's expression of disbelief turned to one of shock and upset. Draco realised what he'd said too late and panic set in seeing the hurt across Harry's face. He tried to backtrack but his outburst had pushed it too far. "Shit, Harry, I'm so sorry...I didn't mean that. I wasn't thinking.." Draco stammered.
