It had been a very long day. The Forger family returned home after experiencing their most traumatic experience. For Loid, he had almost been sentenced for execution and discovered a spy in WISE, for Yor, she almost lost Loid and Anya just saw a man getting shot.

The three of them were now sitting in the living room, on the couches.

"Anya, we understand that you were scared of what happened today, but we will make sure that we won't let any danger come near you. I promise." - Loid caressed Anya's hair.

"But... Papa, will the big boss be fine?" - she trembled.

Yor chimes in, "Yes Anya-san. Mr.Desmond will recover soon enough. We also received an apology letter from the Desmond family regarding what all happened today. Also, whatever happened today, could you please keep it a secret?"

Anya didn't have more energy for today, she didn't choose to reply but understood her mother's instruction. She nodded and leaned on Yor's shoulder.

"I think it's time to put Anya-san to bed. I will be right back, Loid."

Yor went and carefully tucked Anya into her bed. She crept out of her room and then entered the kitchen.

Loid was just staring at her, he was spacing out. Today was just too much, even for the world's best spy. He was trying to stop thinking about the mole for today, but his mind couldn't resist. Meanwhile he was calculating all possibilities of whom the traitor could be, Yor was doing something in the kitchen.

After about 5 minutes, she came out with a tray in her hands. She placed it on the table and sat next to Loid.

"Here, Loid.. I made some hot chocolate for the both of us... I know this may not be much.. but I'm here for you and I don't want you to worry more about what happened today." - she blushed

He put his hand over her shoulder,"Thank you Yor, this means a lot... sorry if I seem spaced out today. I am just not able to comprehend today's events. This is not something regular for a common psychiatrist like me..."

"L-L-Loid.... look into my-y eyes..." - she stuttered.

They were now glancing each other.

Her lips seemed so soft to Loid, like velvet... he could just stare at them all day...

"Loid. You know I won't let anything happen to you and Anya, right? You both will never be in danger as long as I am alive, I promise you that. I may not be the perfect mother or a partner but I am sure as hell that I will protect you with all that I have."

Loid was now blushing too... he didn't need protection... he needed his answers. But, for the first time in his life after a very long time (since his mother passed away), he could feel a sense of security in his life, even though the current circumstances were very critical.

It almost felt like nothing could happen to him ever and that he would always have something in life. Of course, it was not about physical security, it was more of a sense of security. No matter what happened to Loid, he felt that Yor would always be there for him and never leave him. If the whole world would've gone haywire, he would still have Yor by his side and by his back, rooting for his success. Yor became the constant of his life, his "rock", which will never be displaced. And yes, there was an added factor of physical security, considering Yor is an ex-assassin, however, he wouldn't need that since he was a fairly good combatant himself.
