Part 6: karate dojo and 'accident'

Daniel and I were on our way to our mom's new workplace when Daniel saw a karate dojo across it.

"Do you want to check it out?" Daniel asks looking at the dojo.

"sure but we have to ask Ma first"

Daniel saw Ma preparing a table and knocked on the window pointing towards the dojo.

Ma tap on her watch to come eat after and Daniel nods.

"Come on" he pulls me by my wrist.

Daniel pulls the dojo door open and enters.

"Fear does not exist in this dojo, does it?"

"No, Sensei!"

Daniel and I look around the dojo seeing a cardboard of a guy, probably the one who owns the dojo.

"Pain does not exist in this dojo, does it?"

"No, Sensei!"

"Defeat does not exist in this dojo,does it?"

"No, Sensei!"

The chants can practically hear it from the outside.

They repeat the same chants at least twice kneeling down.

'Is this a freaking dojo or a soldier training?' I silently thought.

Then I saw the same guy from the cardboard piece in a picture frame holding a gun. 'ahh....now I get it'

Daniel sat down on the chair looking at the karate students with interest.

I just stand beside him looking at the karate students training.

"Prepare. Ais"

All the students jump up and stand in their stances .

"What do we study here?" the sensei yells.

"The way of the fist, sir!"

"And what is that way?"

"Strike first, strike hard, no mercy, sir!"

"I can't hear you!"

"Strike first, strike hard, no mercy, sir!"

'This is basically a military training not even a freaking karate class at this point' I shake my head and look towards Daniel who is still looking interested.

"You sure you want to try this dojo, Daniel?"

"Shh.." he shushed me up.

I roll my eyes at him annoyed and look back at the karate class.

"Mr Lawrence!"

'Wait, I know that last name' I raise my head higher in realization.

"Yes, Sensei!"

"Warm them up"

"Ais" all the students bowed down and as expected it was Johnny Lawrence.

He glanced at Daniel who sighed in disbelief and gave him a small smirk.

"Ais!" All the students stand back up straight.

Daniel gets up from the seat and leaves the dojo quickly.

"Fighting positions. Jab punch" Johnny starts leading the class as I chase after Daniel.

"Daniel!"

"That guy is everywhere, Y/n!" he complains.

"How do you not realise the moment their sensei called out Lawrence's name?"

He shrugs defeated. "I don't know"
