midas touch

I was one who did not like to share my feelings,
And would rather do something cruel than to ever open my heart freely,
But you saw this as a challenge and accepted it,
Like rain on parched earth,
your gentle words coaxed forth long-dormant blooms of emotion into this soul of mine,
Resurrected and healed it,
My soul, once silenced, now sings aloud beneath your gaze with mighty resilience,
the scars whispering tales of your healing grace,
basking in the warmth of your radiant eyes,
So that it can now be one that is truthful and honest,
The warmth of your presence,
Your smile, a sunrise chasing away the shadows of my silence
Your laughter, a feather-light caress against my bruises,
softened by your heavenly giggles,
Your alluring presence allows my heart to blossom into fields of flowers waiting for the sun to shine,
and in a few minutes my soul aligns with yours,
My soul, now thriving from your sunlight,
bursts and blooms, ready to unfurl under your sunlit gaze,
free to speak truly without having the weight of feeling like a burden,
as in my childhood,
I was told to remain silent
as whispers were hushed by stern gazes,
But my beloved, as tough as a task it was,
you have healed the past,
ones that i thought I would have to carry into the next life,
I will always say you do have the Midas touch,
One that heals the hearts of others
Through your grace and mercy,
But unlike Midas,
your heart brims with selfless desire,
weaving tapestries of joy not from greed,
but from shared vulnerability.
