[14] Ready or Not, Here I am.

[ALLAY's POV]

I'm out gathering some fruit for the community in the morning. It's pretty damn boring, I wanna get back into the training as soon as I can so I better hurry up. I'm able to find enough fruit to sustain us for the day as I return home.
LUNA: "Allay, I trust you found what we need for today?"
ALLAY: "Course I did."
I stand proudly, Quella walks into the room.
QUELLA: "Hey, idiot, drop the fruit so we can distribute it."
Same Quella as always.
I put the fruit down in a bag I was using to carry it all.
LUNA: "Any encounters?"
ALLAY: "Nothing, it's been quiet each time."
Too quiet for my own liking.
QUELLA: "Something ain't right."
Luna turns to her sister.
LUNA: "Oh come on, let us enjoy this break we've been getting. Toothless must be struggling to find us."
ALLAY: "Even if he does, I'm ready for him."
QUELLA: "Listen here hotshot,"
Quella growls at me, I take a step back.
QUELLA: "Just because you THINK you are ready, doesn't mean the entire group is. You aren't going to last a MINUTE if you aren't constantly scared and worried about Toothless showing up."
LUNA: "Enough!"
Luna gets in front of me.
LUNA: "We can't be letting him dictate our lives. We need morale to be high, and spirits to be as well. Constantly worrying about him isn't going to help us in-"
Quella hits Luna hard as she growls again, this time at our Queen.
QUELLA: "You're too soft, maybe I'd make a better ruler."
I want to step in, but I don't know what to say, or who to even agree with. Luna starts to speak, clearly angry at Quella,
LUNA: "How-"
But then...

Toothless flies in at speeds I've never seen before. None of us expected him, and he slams into Luna, knocking her unconscious as she hits her head on rocks.
TOOTHLESS: "Hello."
I immediately channel the Lightening inside my body as I fire it at him. He gets shocked, giving Quella just enough time to grab Luna and get out. She leaves without saying a word to me.
Surely she wouldn't just... leave me right?
TOOTHLESS: "Luna's secret weapon, we meet again."
ALLAY: "I was hoping we'd see each other again, so I could put an end to your madness, Appius."
He seems shocked at our discovery of his true identity, but shrugs it off.
TOOTHLESS: "Your wish has been granted."
He shoots a barrage of small plasma blasts towards me, each in a distinctive pattern that i immediately recognize. It switches from middle side middle side and repeat.
God I'm thankful for that pattern training."
I use my understanding of his patterns to dodge them, moving perfectly left and right as I quickly approach him. He spins, swinging his tail at me but I fly up above it and dive down at him, I knock him down as I move back into a defensive stance.
TOOTHLESS: "I see Luna trained you, but it won't be enough."
He shoots a plasma blast right at me, and I very easily avoid it.
If this is all he has, then I KNOW I can beat him."
Then the Plasma Blast reverses right into my back.
I roar, but I hold my ground.
What the fuck?!
He starts shooting plasma blasts. I dodge the initial attacks, but each time they reverse back.
I turn around just to dodge them and as I turn BACK to face Toothless he claws my face and shoots me away with a large plasma blast.
I fall down, my vision starting to get a bit blurry but Toothless just keeps his onslaught going as he flies at me and slams his tail against me, launching me out of the hideout and against a tree. I collapse and Toothless very slowly starts walking towards me.
Just like that...
I...
I failed you, my Queen.
Toothless prepares a plasma blast.
...
...No.
Electricity surrounds me as Toothless quickly flies back out of the way, then stares at me.
ALLAY: "If I lose, all of The Hidden World will die."
I get up, feeling electricity and... power? It's hard to describe the feeling...
ALLAY: "No, I can't let you get past me, I WONT let you get past me."
I fly up into the air, clouds forming and thunder coming.
ALLAY: "Toothless, no, Appius, I will put an end to your tyranny, for the lives of all Dragons,"
A thunderbolt strikes me as I absorb its power.
ALLAY: "Today,"
Toothless gets into a battle stance.
ALLAY: "I will STRIKE you down."
I immediately channel lightening from above, causing Lightening to land on Toothless. He roars as the first one hits him. Seeing this pain, I channel more and more. He starts dodging them, but only barely. Toothless after rolling away from one thunder strike flies up at me. I dive down, and right as he gets above me I channel lightening. It hits him as he falls down, and I absorb its power. He falls beneath me, and I rise high into the sky as I channel lightning from multiple clouds.
Goodbye, Scumbag.
I send all the Lightening down at him. I hear loud roars as I see just a huge cloud of electricity where Toothless is, and then silence. I carefully watch seeing when the cloud clears.

!
Toothless slowly gets up, wounds all over his body and his eyes shut tight. As he opens them, they glow red, and I sense a terrible presence.
TOOTHLESS: "I will murder you."
ALLAY: "I'm not allowing myself to die until I see you take your last breath.

[TOOTHLESS's POV]

I'm trying,
I really am.
Everytime he strikes, I try to keep myself still.
But I just can't resist it anymore, I can't stop Appius anymore,
I can't help, I'm sorry...
