"Next!" We were standing in line for breakfast a few hours later. Garmadon was up next in line, and I was after Lloyd. "Nuh-uh, nothing for you."

"There's a valuable lesson here, son. If you turn your back on your first evil sensei in an attempt to go straight,-"

"Next!"

"-you may not be served creamy biscuits."

"Well I know what we are being served. A whole bunch of baloney. This isn't a fighting trournament, it's an alibi for Chen to steal everyone's powers. But we still don't know why."

"Isn't it obvious? Chen wants to destroy new ninjago city." Kai said this from my other side, talking to Lloyd through me.

"I don't know why, but that place has some seriously bad luck." I chimed in

"I'm not so sure. From what sensei G's told us about Chen, I have a feeling it's something far more sinister." I went over to stad by Lloyd and his dad, but looked behind me, and did a double take when I saw jay was in his Jammas.

"And may I remind us, we still don't know where Zane is, which is why we all need to take care of our first rounds, to give us more time." Cole looked him up and down in shock. Honestly, it's a mood though. "Don't look at me like that, I've already moved on."

"Your opponent got himself kicked out."

"Either way, it's my day off. Ha-ha!" He seemed way too excited for that. "Extra creamy biscuits please! And don't skimp!" They walked away together.

"Taking a day off? And here I thought ninja never quit!"

"And I used to think a ninja would never try to steal your girlfriend."

"What the fuck?" I whispered to myself.

"Whatever you have to say about each other, say it now. Because harboring grudges hurts no one but yourselves."

"He's right. You should be preparing to fight your next opponents. Not yourselves."

"What grudge? I already got over it!"

"I got over it first!" I looked at Lloyd.

"This tournament will test them Lloyd. Either find a way for them to make peace, or neither of them will move on." Garmadon walked away, and Lloyd was about to follow when I stopped him.

"What are they on about?"

"Jay was seeing Kai's little sister Nya, but in new ninjago city, she tried a perfect match machine, and it said her match was Cole. They've been at odds ever since."

"Hmmm..." I thought about it. "Is it possible the machine got Nya and Kai confused?" He looked at me like I'm crazy. "Before you say anything, hear me out. Cole sounded a little jealous about Kai having a thing for Skylor. What's more, he's always looking at him with a weird look in his eye. On top of it all, he seems to be closest to Kai rather than anyone else." He looked at me and thought about it.

"Maybe. I'm terrible at picking up social cues though. But he started the teasing."

"But he's convinced Kai isn't into guys."

"He's not though?"

"He might be into guys? Maybe he's bi or pan?"

"I dunno..."

"It's not really my business, but it seems to be tearing you guys apart, and goddamnit, I'm finding myself wanting to help." He sighed.

"Good luck."
