As the world goes by,
Behind eyes, there lies,
A struggle of depression,
That steals the light.
But like a shadow,
It hides silently,
To the world it is unseen,
Only felt within.
In sadness it lurks,
Hoping to go unseen,
A fight within the soul,
To be heard and felt.
But still it hides away,
Behind those smiling eyes,
A silent storm brewing,
In the soul, a battle cries.

Depression is really draining and you should know that if you are in a state of depression, it is helpful to attempt to do things. Sometimes, even the minimum counts. Take a sip of water. Eat some food. Walk around.
