As he's upset and down,
I'd love to be able to comfort him,
Be the one to support and lift,
When he needs it most.
A friend he can rely on,
To be there with open arms,
To be his shoulder to cry on,
When he feels overwhelmed and scarred.
A friend he can trust,
For his moments of heartbreak,
As he can't bear to be alone,
I'd be there to soothe the ache.
