Mystic Falls, 998AD.

The village was celebrating the spring equinox, everything was ready for the celebration. There was a big wood pyre in the middle of the village, said pyre was to be lit at nightfall, and they were going to celebrate the equinox the whole night. The spring equinox was Lilibeth's favorite celebration, mostly because in the days nearing it Kol would take her into the woods and do magic, help the flowers grown, help any hurt animal, she loved to see this side of Kol that not anyone could.

That morning was a busy one, all the Erikson were busying themselves with their chores so they would finish soon and start celebrating. Lilibeth was helping her sister Frida with the meat in the shed.

"Do you think I'm ready?," Lilibeth asked her sister. Frida sighed.

"I think that if you feel ready, then you are," Lilibeth nodded, "it's not something anyone can tell you," Lilibeth breathed out, "but between us," Frida whispered, "I think you are," both girls laughed and continued their work at the shed. Until they heard swords clashing.

"Come on Henrik, our brothers are fighting again," Lilibeth and Frida turned at the sound of the voice, it was Rebekah Mikaelson, Kol's sister. Lilibeth knew that Rebekah was Kol's favorite sibling, but Lilibeth had never talked to the girl.

The swords clashing continued, so Frida and Lilibeth got closer to see both Mikaelson Brother's fight.

"Look, our sister has arrived," said Elijah Mikaelson, "to watch my fast approaching victory," they clashed their swords once more.

"On the contrary Elijah," said Niklaus, they kept fighting, until Niklaus cut Elijah's belt and it fell on the floor, "she's come to laugh at you," Everyone laughed and the two sisters smirked trying not to make themselves part of the family moment that they had just watched.

Frida saw how Esther and Mikael walked closer to their children, so she ushered Lilibeth to return to the meat, and both girls walked back to the shed and even then they still heard it.

"So," Mikael shouted, "why don't you teach me that trick, young warrior," the sound of the swords clashing was louder than before. Niklaus stepped back.

"Father, we were just having fun," Niklaus said clearly scared.

"We fight for our survival," Mikael said, and lilibeth could swear he turned in her direction, "and you find time for fun?," he was screaming now, "I want to have fun, teach me," they he clashed his sword against Niklaus' again and again, with a fury that Lilibeth had never seen.
