Since the opening of the first arc in the second season is amazing and I can't find an English version as poetic as the original, here it is, translated by me.
My fanfiction is very obviously inspired by these lyrics, meaning that I kept the song in mind but promised myself nothing of what it implies would ever happen. You're welcome.

Oh, and make sure you have tissues. You're gonna need them ^^

The blue of home (青のすみか - Ao no sumika)

In the seemingly endless blue season*,
nothing hinders the horizon before my eyes.
On the concrete, cicadas mimic the sound of rain,
I can no longer hear your silence.

These days will fade away,
but even if I've learned to tell your smell from mine,
in the deep eternity I left behind,

even now, there's still blue.
Even now, the blue is still clear.
My words and prayers are useless,
as much as I tried to get close, I could never reach you.
Like a silent love**,
the same colors of summer are rolling down my cheek.
The words that curse you are stuck in the back of my throat:
"we'll see each other again, won't we?"
A voice that'll never be heard.

An afternoon in the wet winds season,
I go over the pictures of us, when we were still no one.
We could've shared everything,
but little by little, from that day,
the curse that made us different grows.

The sorrow behind your smile,
I regret I overlooked it.
To you, who bloom and wither fruitlessly,
goodbye.

Even now, there's still blue.
Even now, the blue is still clear.
My words and prayers are useless,
as much as I tried to get close, I never could reach you.
Like a silent love**,
the same colors of summer were rolling down my cheek.
The words that curse you are stuck in the back of my throat:
"we'll see each other again, won't we?"
A voice that'll never be heard.

Like stardust in an ever-expanding galaxy,
slipping through my fingers.

Translator's note

*In Japanese adolescence is sometimes referred to as seishun (青春), which literally translates to "blue spring". It's also used to talk about formative and happy years of life.
**The kanji used for "love" here is (koi/ai), which is the same used to express romantic love as opposed to platonic.

disclaimer

I definitely don't know Japanese enough to translate this properly!
I based the translation on my basic knowledge, helped by the already existing English translation and numerous researches on the meaning of single kanjis. Of course, the infamous Google translate has proved to be a good starting point.
Nevertheless, I'm quite satisfied with how the translation turned out, and I'd like to stress the fact that I deliberately chose to focus more on poetic rather than literary meaning. I think the original meaning shouldn't be too far from what I translated, but if anyone knows Japanese and cares to fix it, you're very welcome to! ^^
