chapter five

Isabella packed her backpack with the things she needed for the trip. She was excited to spend time with Walker and his family.

"Ready?" her mother asked handing her a sandwich.

Isabella nodded accepting it and taking a bite. The sound of Walker's mother's car was heard from outside.

"I'm leaving now mom, see you later."

She ran to the car and got in greeting everyone. She sat down next to Walker who gave her a smile.

"Alright, everyone ready?" asked Walker's father. Tanner screamed yes with excitement.

"How have you been?" asked Walker.

"Good, you?"

" Good too" he replied. He thought of some topic of conversation so as not to make the moment awkward but nothing came into his head.

He noticed how Isabella was nodding off somewhat sleepily so he took her head and put it on his shoulder.

"I'll let you know when we get there" he whispered.

Forty minutes later they were at the beach. Tanner had brought a Volleyball, so they decided to play girls against boys.

"'We're going to beat you guys,'" Leena said in a competitive tone.

"No way! We'll beat you" said Tanner with his arms crossed.

Isabella looked at Walker and sent him a raised eyebrow look. He looked at her offended.

"Let's go" shouted Walker.

Isabella was quite agile and fast, so they were winning. But Walker was taller and had more of an advantage when throwing the ball.

At the end the boys won. Tanner looked teasingly at Leena who threw sand in his hair angrily.

"Do you want to get in the ocean with me?" she asked Isabella.

Walker gave his sister a dirty look. She was always taking Isabella away from him.

"Sure!" She said taking off her skirt and shirt. She had on a blue swim dress with a white flower print.

Walker looked away nervously. His mom let out a laugh as she took a sip of her coke.

"What?"

"Go with them honey, take the opportunity."

He sighed and nodded. His mother was right.

He took off his shirt and ran to the sea where Leena and Isabella were already standing.

"Walker!" Isabella looked up at him with a smile.

Leena rolled her eyes as she watched him approach the brunette.

It was a fun afternoon for everyone.

Isabella said goodbye to everyone and got out of the car.

When she got to her room she lay down on the bed and without realizing it thought about how she enjoyed the moments with Walker.
