"Sunsets we wander through foreign towns strangely there's nobody else around"
Trinity's pov August 8 2023
Luke and I were sitting on the couch together both on our phones but I had my legs over his lap and one of his hands was on my thigh
"Do you wanna do something today?" He asked me "like?" I replied "I don't know, we can go on a little mini date" he suggested "aww you're so cute, where we going" I asked "where ever you wanna go" he replied
I thought for a second "I kinda want ice cream" I told him "ok let's go get ice cream then" he said and I moved my legs off of him so he could stand
He stood up and pulled me up from the couch
"Do you need to get dressed?" He asked me "no I'll just go like this" I shrugged "ok" he said putting his arm around me we walked to the door and put out shoes on
I was wearing black sweat pants and a red cropped tank top, I didn't have makeup on and my hair was down and wavy
He called into the house for his mom and told her we were going out
We drove to an ice cream place and went in to order
I got chocolate chip cookie dough and Luke got plain Chocolate
"Can I have some" I asked as we walked out and he gave me his cone
I took a big bite and gave it back to him and he looked down at me with his mouth hung open
I smiled back at him and he shook his head eating his ice cream
"Thanks Lukey" I said grabbing his hand and we walked to the car
"No problem" he looked over at me kissing the back of my hand
"Wanna go for a walk?" He asked me "walk where" I looked over at him "around" he shrugged "ok" I swung our hands and we walked around for like an hour and a half
We just ate our ice cream and talked it was kinda cute that Luke wanted to spend the day out with me
We haven't really hung out alone since he was with me at my apartment last month
It was a really sweet date too walking together hand in hand eating ice cream
We went home after we walked back to the car
"I missed being with you like this" he told me "like what? Alone" I asked "yeah, just us. When it's just us we can just be ourselves" he told me "yeah I like it because you're the only person I could talk to for hours and not get bored or annoyed and we're still constantly getting to know more about each other" I explained
"You get annoyed when you talk to people for a long time?" He asked me "yeah after a while I feel like I need a break" I told him "is that bad?" I looked over at him from the passenger seat "no because I feel the same. Especially with Jack, we live together so we're always talking sometimes he gets on my nerves" he told me
"Yeah same with me and Kayla. I love her but she bothers me sometimes we're always fighting" I sighed "I like her but she seems a little fake to me" Luke said looking over at me fore a second "why what happened" I asked him
"she's always leaving you alone and when you're gone she never mentions you and then you text her and she acts like she missed you so much over the phone but never in real life" he said sounding a little annoyed
"Notice how I said when you text her because she doesn't text you first. ever" he added and I shrugged "I guess the leaving me alone is kinda annoying, but it's not like I really talk about her like that when she's gone" I shrugged "yes you do. Every time we go somewhere and you see something that reminds you of her you say 'I should get this for Kayla' or 'Kayla would like this place Im gonna bring her here'" he said mocking my voice
"What do you want me to do Luke? Me and my family are all she's got, I've known her since I was little" I told him "I don't know, maybe talk to her or something but she's not being very best-friend like" he sighed as we pulled into the driveway "thanks for caring" I looked over at him "of course I care" he said grabbing my hand that was on the middle console
"But dont worry about it, I'll be fine" I added "I just don't want you feeling left out or alone" he responded, I leaned over the console and gave him a quick peck before taking off my seatbelt and getting out of the car
Later that night me Luke Quinn Kayla Jack Ellen and Jim all sat around the fire pit and talked and joked around making s'mores
