Furthering The Plot After A Long Ass Hiatus AGAIN (Yeah, Sorry...)

Ari: There you are! Brandon, you may wanna come see this!

We all walked into the house to see what Ari was talking about, only to find her pointing at Zara, who was doing a fucking handstand...

I promptly pressed both my fist against her head and gave her a double noogie

"You're telling me you had me end last chapter on a fucking cliffhanger and then put off the next chapter for almost 2 years because you wanted to show me Zara doing a fucking HANDSTAND?!"

Ari: AAAAAH I'M SORRY!!!!

With Ari now passed out in the corner and Nessa poking her with a stick to make sure she isn't dead, Zara started showing us what they ACTUALLY found

Zara: Yeah, sorry about that. Ari thought it'd be funny if we played a prank on you before we told you what we found

"I should leave you in the sun for that, but what'd you find?"

Zara: Well, I've been reading some old scrolls to see if there was anything I could find on Eon or your teleporting powers, and I think I found something worthwhile

Zara pulled out a scroll depicting some sort of prophecy or something, but it was written in some unfamiliar language, almost as if they were just random symbols. Well, random symbols to the girls, of course, because I instantly knew it was the enchantment table language...But luckily there was pictures as well depicting an illager with lighting shooting out his hands and a dragon flying above him, destroying everything in its path

Zara: I can't figure out the text but judging by the pictures alone, I think we're gonna have a bigger issue than Eon soon...

"Don't tell me he's gonna..."

Ander: I think he is...He's gonna try to revive the Ender Dragon.

Nessa: What's an Ender Dragon?

Ander: The Ender Dragon was the ruthless ruler of my home world, The End. If she shows up in the Overworld, we're all doomed. There's no stopping her

"I mean, clearly there was a way to stop her if someone killed her already"

Ander: Yes, but at the cost of thousands of lives.

Zara: Wait, look at this!

Zara points above the dragon to see a warrior, almost as if he's about to sacrifice his life in order to kill the dragon. At the bottom of the scroll reads in perfect English,

"One life, to save thousands..."

Nessa: Brandon....you're not...

"I think I am..."

Ander: But, you can't!

"Whether I like it or not, I have to!"

Cupa: Is anyone gonna explain to me what's going on?

I walk back outside and look at the stars, taking in the news and breathing in deeply before exhaling through the cool breeze of the night

"One life, to save thousands..."

I take one more deep breath...and let it out...

"FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!"

Later that night, I was in bed contemplating my supposed destiny as I look at my hand.

"Was I really bought into this world just to die saving it? And what's with my end powers? Ugh...I'm more confused than ever now..."

Just then, a knock makes it's way to my door, I recognize it almost instantly

"It's open, Nessa"

Nessa opens the door, clutching her pillow and blushing

Nessa: Ssh! Do you want the others to wake up?!

I couldn't help but smile, I could tell she was worried about me. I mean, why else would she be in my room in her pajamas and clutching a pillow while blushing?

"God I love tsunderes. Is everything okay?"

Nessa: Y-Yeah, I just couldn't sleep...

"So you came to my room because you wanted to sleep with me again?"

Nessa: N-No! Sh-Shut up, moron!

"Ness, seriously it's fine, I don't mind it."

I moved over to make space for Nessa as she climbed into my bed next to me

Nessa: I swear if you try anything I will hurt you

"I know, I know, you've only told me about 10 other times"

Nessa: And I'll keep saying it for as long as I live

"Right, do you want me to comfort you like last time?"

Nessa stays silent for a bit before subtly nodding, giving me permission to wrap my arms around her.

"You're worried aren't you?..."

Nessa stays silent but turns around to face me

Nessa: Of course I'm worried, even if we didn't exactly get along when we first met, I still care about you. I don't wanna lose you...

I wiped a tear from Nessa's eye and pressed my forehead against hers, causing her to blush more than she was earlier

"You're not gonna lose me. Even if I'm gone, I'll always be with you. The others too, but you especially..."

Nessa: P-Promise?

I wrap Nessa in my arms and hold her close to my chest so she can hear my heartbeat, which helped her slowly drift to sleep.

"I promise..."

I slowly start to fall asleep myself, but not without kissing Nessa on the forehead.

"I...promise..

But sometimes... promises are meant to be broken...
