So... You've made it this far. Congratulations! And thank you for sticking with me for this long! I hope you enjoyed it!

While there are plenty of things I'd love to go deeper into and explain. As well as talk about things I liked doing and wish I had done better, I should start with the biggest thing... The ending.

Now I know, cliffhangers aren't ever fun. They tease you and can sometimes be disappointing if the person never uploads again. I promise you that won't be me. But I will explain why I chose to end this story on a cliffhanger. I have had an idea of what to do with y/n's galaxy powers as a blood demon art for a long time, although not from the very beginning. It was more of an afterthought that the idea of the second book would occur. The reason why this fic ended on a cliffhanger is simply: not everyone is going to like where I take this story next. For those who don't like it, they can choose for themselves how this story ends.

The actual story that follows the demon slayer manga and anime is now over, and I'm solely left with my own ideas. So, I'm making a sequel to test my creativity. This sequel however won't be as long as this, most likely 15 chapters, give or take. And don't worry! There will be plenty more Kyojuro x Reader moments to come. I can't wait to get started and share it with you all.

That being said, I've been working really hard to get this story out as well as balancing real life. It's been a lot, so while I won't abandon this story, I will be taking the rest of January off.

Another thing that really throws things into a hurl is that I don't have access to the demon slayer manga. That means I have no idea how many things go past the Swordsmith Village Arc, so I had to just go with what I briefly read online. Maybe if I eventually get to own the manga, or when I watch the next seasons of demon slayer, I will go back and edit the final pieces. But we will have to see when the time comes. Thank you again for being patient with me!

I'm sorry, but, I need the break! xD

Like I said, I could go on and on about little things here and there that bothered me that I wished I did better on, as well as parts that I'm really proud of! But I really don't want to make this note endlessly long. So if people have enough questions about my writing process and how I came up with everything, then I'll make another author's note answering those questions. For now, I will leave you with this little teaser of what's to come!

Enjoy!

"The temperature is too cold for humans, one district has already fallen!" Y/N stood silently next to lord Muzan, while lord kokushibo remained on the other side. It was almost like a throne, as egotistical as that sounded. Both him and y/n were his best soldiers, which also made them his most loyal ones. And so, the three of them glared easily at the male with fire-like eyes and hair who was trying to persuade them to help.

"And, what do you want us to do about it?" Scoffed the progenitor, his eyes burning more than Rengoku's sword ever could.

"Help! Do something! You need humans, even if you hate them!" The flame pushed, his desperation causing y/n to smirk condescendingly. "There's rumours of a sun-breathing user hiding somewhere in the districts. We could find him! He might be the key!" Tsk. What a fool.

Angrily, Muzan rose to his feet and stepped angrily towards the lord of the fire district. "I won't hurt you, because you are our main power source. As the leader of the flame district, if the humans need heat, it's your job to distribute it, correct?" Kyojuro could only dare to meet Muzan's eyes for a second before he stared to the ground.

"Yes." He admitted, being pressured into a bow from the intimidation.

"Then do better. Or perhaps it's time to let your baby brother take over." The king smirked for a moment before turning back to his chair, heading away. He only stopped when the cool metal of the flame's sword met his neck.

"Do not mention my brother." Rengoku snapped. "Or else..."

"Or else what?" The progenitor looked back with an evil smirk, watching as the weaker male gritted his teeth.

"Please forgive him, lord Muzan. Work has overwhelmed him and he no longer sees sense." Y/N stepped towards them, not hesitating to push Kyojuro back and away from the king. "Perhaps he needs a break. I can take over temporarily in his stead while he rests."

"That won't be necessary." Muzan left no room for question or argument as he continued back to his chair, where Kokushibo remained stood silently. He never was one to speak up much.

"Who would have thought, upper moon 1 y/n actually has feelings." The flame teased, grinning and uncaring of the risks. He was the most important of the district leaders, he'd be the last to die. Y/N watched him for a small second before scoffing and rolling her eyes. She looked away in an attempt to hide her blush. Idiot.

"What, don't you have anything to say this time? I thought you hated me." Y/N's heart skipped a beat as she heard his voice become more smooth. She gritted her teeth in frustration. He always brought out the weakest side of her.

"I could never hate you..." Y/N whispered, her words fading. Kyojuro's smile faltered slightly at this, concern taking it's place for the smallest moment. But it disappeared quickly after. He sheathed his sword and gave one slow, respectful bow to the demon king before leaving. Unaware fully of the effect his words had on y/n...

As well as the repercussions that came with it...
