Evelyn gnawed on her bottom lip, staring down at the dead leaves at her feet, deep in thought, thinking over what Carol had just told her when she ushered her out of the community.

Carol had filled her in on the way into the woods not only about their plan, but about the missing gun that Rick had stored out here for safe keeping that was magically gone. It didn't sit right with Evelyn.

The other woman was going to try and steal some of their guns back from the armory at some point to offer protection not only for their group, but for Alexandria as a whole.

And of course, Evelyn fully supported it, but she couldn't help but let her mind wander to the risks, the setbacks.

As good as Carol is at what she does when she sets her mind to something, there's always the risk of getting caught. Of getting them kicked out of the gated community.

She couldn't help but think back to her promise to Daniel the day before, the one where she told him she told him she would try with this new group, and getting them ejected from it wouldn't exactly be what he had in mind.

"I don't see it, but it's close." Daryl grunted, looking out into the trees surrounding them for any sign of the walker they could hear growing increasingly closer, "There's just one of 'em."

That pulled the woman's attention up to him, as well as Carol and Rick, all of them standing in a small circle in the woods a little ways outside of Alexandria.

"We won't be here long," Rick promised, shifting a little in place from where he stood, hands on his hips, "So, what do you think?" He drawled in that Southern accent of his.

"We go in when it's empty." Carol declared, referring to the armory, though she kept her voice soft on the off chance that anyone was around.

"How's that?" He inquired, "It's locked up at night."

"There's only a latch on the window," Evelyn piped up, making everyone's eyes shoot to her, "I saw it the other day. All you gotta do is leave it open during the day and sneak in when it's dark."

"A latch?" Rick asked, seemingly slightly baffled that that was all that stood between them and their safety.

"What if one of those pricks shuts it?" Daryl's eyes bore into Evelyn as he asked.

She briefly looked up, her brown orbs clashing with his blue ones, and it occurred to her suddenly that the two of them hadn't had a one-on-one conversation in a while.

It was strange to realize that, seeing as- save for the fall of the prison- the two of them hadn't gone very long without conversing together since she and Daniel had been brought to the prison by Glenn and Maggie.

"Wait a couple of days, leave it open again." Carol continued on, seeming oblivious to two getting lost in each other's gazes for a moment.

Evelyn tore her eyes away from Daryl suddenly, ears perking up as the sounds of the approaching walker became louder, "It's getting closer." She noted.

Rick nodded slightly in acknowledgement, "We need to do it sooner than later." He told them, "Right now, they're not watching us. Not worrying about meetings like this." He gestured to the four of them, "We may need the guns, we may not."

"We will." Evelyn said softly, eyes dipping to the ground once more as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"Whatever way it goes," Carol agreed.

Grimes shook his head softly, making Wright raise her gaze to him once more, ignoring how she saw Daryl glance to her from the corner of her eyes, "They're the luckiest damn people I've ever met. And they just keep getting luckier."
