3rd person pov

"Umm..." Carmella trailed off as Ruby dragged her into Beth's house, "You know what? This is some bull right here. Them coming at us with guns? Dropping my by job? Uh-uh. We have families. We have children. We have lives. And we gotta end this now" Ruby said letting go of Carmella

"Great. How?" Beth asked looking at her, "The way i see it, we got two issues we need to take care of. One if your boy up in that tree house-"

"Excuse me. He's not "my boy" Annie said cutting her off, "And the money" Carmella added

"Yeah. So, two birds, one stone. You two are already getting charged for kidnapping. We might as well ransom his ass, too" Ruby said as Annie gasped

Carmella placed the cup down by Boomer as Beth took off bandana in his mouth, "Just let me go already" he said once he stopped drinking the water

"yeah, so you can run to the cops?" Beth scoffed, "Its not like you're gonna kill me" he said letting out a breath as Annie rolled her eyes, "And how do you know?"

"Cause you dont have the guts. You're not killers. You're just a dumb check out girl. And you're what, a housewife? And you a bad stripper? Thought you'd pull a fast one, hmm? Make a quick buck? Now you guys are freaking out cause you're in way over your head" Boomer taunted looking at Annie

"Just shut up"

"Only reason I'm up here is because you dont know what to do with me"

"Just shut up!" Annie yelled this time, "You have no idea. Cause girls like you? They never think things through" He added

"No, he's right. You do do this. You've done this your whole life. I mean, you make these big messes and then you just expect everyone else to clean it up. And then, you just ignore it. Four hours. Hours become days. And days become weeks" Beth spoke up as Annie finally caught on to what she was doing

"Yes, and weeks sometimes turn into months. You're so right. I do do that"

"Fatal flaw" Carmella said as Annie nodded shrugging, "Y- you cant leave me her forever" Boomer stuttered

"Oh, we wouldnt mean to" Beth shrugged

"No, right, but like you said, we dont have the guts to kill you"

"And, its just... we're in so far over our heads, I feel like its gonna take us a really long time to figure out what to do with you. And by then..." Carmella sighed as Beth nodded looking at her, "The animals or just Michigan winter would probably just take care of it for us"

"Im just a dumb checkout girl" Annie shrugged

"And im just an idiot housewife" Beth added

"And im a bad stripper" Carmella shrugged

"His grandma's loaded"

"And she doesnt trust banks, so she keeps all of her cash at home like Scrooge McDuck. Where should we have her bring it?" Annie asked tying on her phone

"Well, they always do the drop in a park in Law & Order. So, how about Beeman?" Ruby asked grabbing the cup she was handed

"All right. Check out this app i downloaded onto his phone" Annie said placing her phone down as a Scottish like voice came through, "We have your grandson. Deliver $60,000 to Beeman Park by 5:00 p.m., or he's dead."

"Is that Sean Connery?" Carmella asked looking at Annie who shrugged, "Hmm, no. It's just "Scottish man" here" Annie said showing her, her phone

"Sounds hot"

"What about...." Annie said clicking a few buttons before a high pitched squeaky voice came through the phone, "We have your grandson. Deliver $60,000-"

"No"

"She wouldn't get that"

"I dont even get that"

"Okay. Uh, lets see here" Annie said clicking her phone once more as a robotic voice began to play, "We have your grandson. Deliver $60,000 to Beeman Park by 5:00 p.m., or he's dead"

"That's good" Ruby nodded, "Yeah?" Annie smiled

"I think that's good"

"All right" Annie said letting out a breath as she called his grandma, "You've reached Marion Petersen. Im not home right now. Please leave a message"

"I guess we can try later" Carmella shrugged looking between them

An hour later

"You've reached Marion Petersen. Im not home right now. Please leave a message"

Two hours later

"You've reached Marion Petersen. Im not home-"

Three hours later

"You've reached Marion Petersen.-"

"Fuck!"

"-im not home"

"Marion, where are you!?"

"I mean, if she's out for the night...." Annie said looking between the three

Carmella was dressed in black cargo pants, and a black, long sleeve corset like top. She was walking with Annie, Beth and Ruby to Boomer's grandmas

The four walked over to the automatic sliding doors... but they didnt open

"Of course" Beth scoffed, "It's a security door. We dont have a code" Carmella added as Annie was typing in some numbers

"All right. Will you just be cool?"

"I hate it when you say that"

"This is so much easier than the grocery store. She's not even home"

"Shut up!" Carmella whispered yelled as she noticed a delivery guy coming out of the place

The four put on sunglasses as the doors opened and walked in

"Go back to the part with the second pin thingy" Annie said trying to pick the lock to her room

"I am trying" Beth said as Annie looked at her, "Stop flipping it around. Just hold it one way"

"What is taking so long?" Ruby asked looking around, "It's buffering" Beth said glancing at her as Carmella sighed

"That unlimited data plan sounds real nice right about now, doesn't it?" Annie asked when all the sudden the door opened

"Can i help you?" Marion asked looking between the four of them, as they all stared at her

"Marion... You're up and about that's amazing" Carmella smiled looking at her, "We were told that you would be bedridden adn we can come right in" she added

"Who are you?" Marion asked confused looking at Annie, who sat still crouched on the ground

"We're the volunteers" Beth said as Annie slowly stood up, "Medicare automatically enrolls you to receive a number of services"

"Tidying up, meal prep, companionship. Whatever you need" Carmella added, "Should we come back tomorrow, or?"

"Well, i suppose not"

"You're an incredible liar" Ruby said looking at Carmella who smiled, "That's the nicest thing you've ever said to me!"
