IFEANYI

I was still outside the class when Gisselle and her friend walked out of the class. Miss Tracy had sent me out of the class because of my loosed tongue

Miss Tracy already exited the class when the bell rang, signalling the time for break. I gently retraced my steps back to the class. Most of my classmates already left for the cafeteria so I was kinda the only one in class

I fished out my phone from my bag pack and connected it to my earbuds via Bluetooth. In no seconds, Alec Benjamin's Let me down slowly filled my ears as I closed my eyes to revel in the melody and comfort that came with music

If you wanna go then I'll be so lonely

If you're leavin,' baby let me down slowly

Let me down down, let me down down , let...

The song came to an abrupt end as I felt the ear bud leave my ears. I opened my eyes on impulse to find Stephanie in front of my desk with both hands on her waist

"You have the guts to listen to music after what you did?" She asked with an expression I couldn't decipher on her face

What I did? How?

“Steph, I don't get you. What did I do wrong and why are you...”

"Shut the fuck up! What prompted you to say such demeaning words to Giselle?" She questioned me, the look on her face giving me the chills

"Steph_"

"_Shut uppp. I'm not done talking"

Ahhh

"What happened to the sweet Ifeanyi we all know? What came over you?"

What came over me? I don't even know. Okay I regret saying those words to her but she could have just kept her damn mouth shut. There are ways she could have proved her point without countering my opinion. Does she know how it feels to loose someone you dearly love? Someone you could lay your life for? Does she...

"Ifeanyi I asked you a question!" Stephanie shouted as she banged her hands on the desk

Why is she acting this way? Because of a depressed soul?

Just then, Vincent strolled into the class leisurely, his both hands pocketed in both sides of his pocket. He got to our position in no time and took his seat on the chair beside me. Not like this old woman in front of me that has refused to have her seat and took delight in disturbing my peace

Vincent fist bumped Stephanie and ignored the palm I stretched out to him for a handshake

Okay... What's wrong with everyone?

"Gabriel told us what transpired in your class earlier on and I must say that isn't cool. You all of people should know that words like that are disheartening " Vincent finished with a void expression

I think this is serious. I mean, Vincent rarely interacts with me without pidgin English except on serious occasions

"Okay fine" I blurted out loud as I sat up in my chair
"I agree I was wrong and shouldn't have said those things to her. But guys, it was sounding more like hypocrisy. Miss Tracy was teaching about love and asked for our opinions. She_"

"_Save us the explanations and go straight to the point. We already know what transpired in your class" Stephanie interrupted

Phew

"I said earlier that it was sounding like hypocrisy because her opinion and her personality are two different things. They don't align in anyway. She's talking about feeling a certain joy by knowing she's loved. But she walks around like a ghost. It's clearly evident that she's deprived of any form of love so I don't think she had any right to counter my opinion" I finished in one breath
