Savitri Oberoi was in a state of shock at her son's sudden confession.

"So you sudden married and didn't find it important even to inform you parents?" With widened eyes and jaw almost touching the floor she asked.

"Mom...I did inform you now" he replied leaning on the sofa resting his head on his arms.

"I am seriously surprised at your audacity" she glared at him.

"By the way how did you find such a pretty girl" she caressed Samira's cheeks lovingly.

Samira touched her feet and took her blessings.

"What did you like in my son?" she whispered in her ears.

Samira chuckled whereas Vivek was glaring at her.

"Mom don't encourage her, one mom is enough for me" he replied dramatically.

"OK....ok enough for today" she sighed.

"Today I am tired so I am sparing you both but I need the details " she teased them.

"Mom..." Vivek whined.

She giggled and went to her room.

Samira smiled at her and waved her hand.

In return she passed a flying kiss.

"Your mom is cute" Samira said

"Sometimes she is handful only dad can handle her" he replied with a smile.

"Shobha shift mam's all of the luggage to my room" he ordered her.

"But." Samira tried to intrupt.

"If we will stay in separate room mom might be doubtful and if you are not comfortable than it's fine I won't force you to do any thing against your wish" he explained.

"No. It's fine" she tugged her hair with her gaze lowered, blush crept on her cheeks.

Samira freshened up and went kitchen to help the workers in preparing dinner.

"Shobha please call aunty and Vivek for dinner" she said .

She placed the dishes on the table.

" Wah. I can smell Matar paneer " Savitri ji said descending from the staircase.

"Mom she prepares very delicious food you haven't tasted veg pulao yet" Vivan added.

"Isn't my boy taking his wife side" she teased.

Samira served them and then joined them.

Both of them praised her she smiled at them feeling satisfied at her work.

Next morning...

Samira woke up early as she was already advised to make a sweet dish as a ritual.

Though it was a contract marriage but she was slowly accepting it.

They were her family now.

Samira prepared breakfast and gulab jamun as a dessert.

Vivek came from his jogging and went to take shower.

Whereas Savitri ji was busy attending a call.

Finally they had their breakfast and Savitri ji gave her a golden chain.

"Samira this is our ancestral chain keep it safe, never lose it" she reminded her.

"But Aunty how can I accept it?" She was hesitant to take it, she saw Vivek who blinked in assurance.

"It's your right as my daughter and stop calling me Aunty I am your mom now" she said with an eye roll and cupped her face.

"Yes mom" she replied.

This word felt foreign on her tongue.
It's been years when she used it but now she got a person whom she could finally call mom.

Samira felt her cheeks wet but Savitri ji lovingly wiped her tears and cupped her cheeks.

"I am not just saying that you are my daughter but I have accepted you as my daughter and I can't tolerate tears in your eyes" she said with a smile.

"Mom its unfair to forgot your son now when you got your daughter" he replied making a sad face.

" ofcourse I already have one more son but I never had a daughter now when I have one how can you think you will get my attention" she replied sassily.

Samira giggled and hugged her tightly to tease him.

"Mrs. Oberoi aren't you laughing too much" he glared at her.

"Don't you dare to scold my child" Savitri said hiding her in her arms.

Few more days passed it was time for Savitri to leave.

Samira was sad when she saw her lovely mother in law is going back.

"Don't worry next time I will come with your dad he will be glad to meet you" Savitri said caressing her hair.

"I hope I will hear goodnews soon " she whispered and winked. Samira turned red hearing her words.

"And let me remind you if you dared to trouble my daughter I will come here to break your bones" she threatened Vivek.

"Are you my mother or hers?" He asked glaring at her.

"Do you still have doubt?" She teased him.

Vivek shook his head. Though he will miss her but he didn't show her.

She hugged them and waved them goodbye then went in her car.
