Hidden Mistake

CHAPTER 19

We're on our fourth day sa survival camp. It was a private island. Today is our rest day, dahil babalik na kami sa trabaho a day from now.

On our first day, we prepared for a warm-up activity sa mga baguhang agents. Hanggang third day ang nilaan naming training. Now that we're on our fourth day, we can do whatever we want on the island and relax.

"Nyx! Halika ka na. Nag je-jet ski na ang mga boys doon."

Napalingon ako sa gawi ni Ace. She's  wearing a sleeveless one piece rash guard. It has a zipper on the chest part. Hindi naman gaanong revealing ang pambaba niya because the bottom part is like a cycling.

I'm wearing the same as hers but mine is just long sleeve.

Tumango lang ako at sumunod sa kaniya. I was actually waiting for her.

Nang makarating kami sa dulong banda, natanaw ko sina Hunt na naka-topless na nagkakarera gamit ang jet ski. He was competing with Yudis, Red and Rex. Some agents are cheering for them.

Tss. They're putting on a show too much. With those muscles revealed, pagpipiyestahan talaga sila ng mga kababaihan.

"Naku. Tutusukin ko ang mata ng kung sino man ang titingin sa jowa ko." nanggigil na saad ni Ace.

I chuckled at her remarks. "Nilagyan mo sana ng karatulang may pangalan mo"

Tinaasan niya ako ng kilay at tiningnan ng masama. I just smirked at her and walked on the boardwalk.

"Huwag kang mag-aalala talagang gagawin ko yan." she smirked, maybe thinking of something hilarious.

Napailing na lang ako. Napagilid ako ng umakyat ang isang agent. He is holding a surfboard. Na-tempt tuloy akong mag-surf.

"Excuse me. Can I borrow your board?" I asked.

He was a bit shocked that I talked to him. "U-uh sure. Here."

Inabot ko ang board mula sa kaniya at binalingan si Ace.

"Do you surf?" I asked her.

"Hindi. Pero kung tuturuan mo ako. Edi go." she answered, excitement etched on her face.

I don't know if I'm good at teaching, but I'll try. Ayaw ko namang ako lang nag mag-enjoy. Baka pag iwan ko siya dito, mang-away na ng mga babaeng nakatingin kay Red.

"Ok. Let's go." aya ko sabay bitbit sa surfing board.

Nag-thank you pa siya sa hiniraman niya ng surfing board at sumunod sa akin.

"So, shall we start?" Ace asked.

I showed her what to do and she listened attentively. It's not hard to teach her since she is a fast learner.

When I felt the water on my feet, I put the board down and ride on it. I started paddling and waited for the right time to stand.

As the wave began to lift me, I positioned myself carefully, feeling the surge of energy beneath my board. I pushed up onto my feet, finding my balance in a moment of perfect harmony with the ocean. I felt the rush of the wind in my ears, the smell of the salt in the air. It's just me dancing together with the waves.

With a swift move, I maneuvered my board, cutting through the water with precision. With a final graceful movement, I let myself fall back, plunging into the water below, letting the ocean enveloped me.

Ace cheered for me and shouted my name.

"Ang galing mo Nyx!"

"Akin ka na lang Nyx! Aray--" Narining kung sigaw ni Yudis.
