Our wedding day had been postponed because of Nova's death. None of us had seen Regulus in months. Cyrus and destiny have had one beautiful baby boy his name is leon . he looks exactly like cyrus but destinys eyes, he was a lucky boy to have those two for parents. none of us knew she was pregnant by apparently she was 2 months pregnant by the wedding
it was matheos idea to postpone it, he's been really sweet helping me through this

"love?" matheo asked popping his head through the door
"yeah" i replied putting my hair in a ponytail
"i was thinking"
"oh god"
"oh shush, i was thinking that now my dads dead we-we don't have to get married"
"you don't want to marry me?" i asked
"no no of course i want to marry you, but if you don't want to do it now we can wait. i'll understand, you are going through grief and i want to be here for you"
"ok, i need a few more months. i really appreciate what you've done for me, i couldn't do this without you." i wrapped my arms around him
"one more thing" matheo began
"oh god"
"ok stop that. since are marriage was not our idea and we never talked about it it was just brought onto us." he took a step back "lyra lestrange i've loved you since i saw you. i could tell you were going to be different when i first saw you, you weren't scared of me and you didn't back down from a fight. i know we've had our ups and downs and our late night fowls but at the end of the day it's you i want to spend the rest of my life with.
the reason this wedding was organised it not the reason i'm marrying you, this was organised as a business deal after my father found out about us but to me this wedding will represent how much you mean to me. you are so strong, nova would be so proud. you make me a better person and i can't wait to start a new chapter of my life with you" he went on one knee "i know i've already sealed the deal but Lyra Cordelia Lestrange will you make me the luckiest man in earth and marry me"
"yes, yes a thousand times yes" i squealed
he put the ring on my finger stood up and lifted me up spinning me around

a day before the wedding
"auntie lyra!" leon yelled running over to me
"leon!" i crouched down and he ran into my arms and i lifted him up "how's my favourite 2 year old?" i asked him kissing his forehead
"i'm good, mummy says i have to spend the day with the boys"
"yes you do your mums going to spend the day with me and your other aunties. you wanna go play in the other room?"
leo nodded and i put him down

"lyra! how's the bride to be feeling?" pansy asked me walking in with draco, theo and enzo
"i'm ok, bit nervous" i confessed hugging pansy
"i've missed you" pansy frowned pulling away
"i've missed you too, i've missed all of you" i looked at the boys who pulled me into a hug
"i thought i heard voices" matheo said coming down the stairs and hugging me
"where's the others?" theo asked looking around
"the zabini's have arrived" blaise announced walking in with nia, gabe and xavier

no one's really heard from xavier, i wasn't sure if he was coming to the wedding since i thought it might remind me of her. but i'm glad he came i knew it hurt to see everything

stella and astoria walked in next and we all hugged and sat around the table eating some lunch
"leon you have to eat something" destiny shook her head
"not hungry" he crossed his arms
"listen to your mother" cyrus said taking a sip of his drink
"wheres reg?" i asked looking around the table but they all shrugged
"sorry i'm late i'm here" he walked in with a girl
LUNA LOVEGOOD OMG
"it's fine i'm glad your here" i stood up and hugged him "luna it's nice to see you"
"good to see you too lyra, congrats on the engagement"
"thank you" i smiled as they took there seats
"so reg when did this happen?" i asked so only he could hear nodding my head towards luna who was now gossiping with nia
"we've been dating since we joined hogwarts but because of mum and dad i kept it a secret but now that dads in askaban and mums dead i thought id bring her"
"i'm really happy for you reg. wait is that who you went to speak to on the train on our first day?"
he nodded
"i knew you were up to something"
we both laughed and joined in with the others conversation

the next day:
i woke up in pansy room after the bachelorette party. today was the day i was going to get married.
it was bitter sweet. my maid of honour wasn't here. but i had to keep my head high, i was about to marry the man i love
me and the girls spent hours getting ready,
nia went me and matheos room to check on the boys.
"they're all alive and well, and dressed" nia informed us
"we have 30 minutes ladies let's go go go" pansy ordered

"ladies and gentlemen we are gathered here today to witness the marriage of two people.
matheo riddle and lyra lestrange"

"vows?"
"matheo riddle, you are so much more then the boy i met on my first day. you are kind and caring, sweet and compassionate, brave and loving. you complete me. i'm so lucky to know you and be with you, as much as you say i make you better i think it's the other way around. you make me a better person. you've held my hair back, wiped my tears, made me laugh, talked to me even when your half asleep, listen to me ramble on about the same nonsense, held me while i cry and make me happy. you matheo riddle are the best fiancé a girl could ask for"

"lyra lestrange my vows are almost identical to what i said when i proposed. i still stand by what i said. yes we've fought but i couldn't imagine my life without you. you put family first above everything and it's something i admire. you deserve the world and i will give it you. i can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you.

"you may kiss the bride" these words were all it took for matheo to kiss me passionately i could hear the boys whistling and i flipped them off.

"speech time" enzo clinked his glass and nodded at cyrus, the best man

"i'm happy to be the first to wish the newly weds a happy life together. my best mate and sister getting married, and i couldn't be happier for the two. i'm not good with speeches so i'll keep it short and snappy. lyra i love you, you are a miny me and it's weird to see you all grown up now.
matheo you are like a brother to me and reg, i love you, you are the perfect match for lyra"

i stood up "my maid of honour as you all know was meant to be nova. it was a whole sister thing, after she passed i didn't want anyone taking her job as maid of honour until my brothers told me not only id regret it but nova would be screaming from the sky telling me to get a maid of honour. so i chose two. pansy and destiny. destiny, you and i became so close, with us being family now and you treating me so well through the year in hogwarts i love you. pansy, you took me under your wing and yes we may have drifted now you will always be my number one girl.
i love you both" i say back down and matheo kissed me in the cheek
"you look beautiful, i can't wait for our honeymoon" he whispered in my ear
"oh shush" i said kissing him

"lyra we both love you and i'm so glad you've found someone who makes you happy. matheo i've grown up with you and it's clear to see that you've never been happier" pansy smiled
"lyra you are the best aunt leo could ask for and the best sister in law i could ask for. i love you unconditionally. matheo you are like a brother to me. i've seen you grow up, you've had it tough and i'm glad you are now with someone who helps you and that you both make each other happy. TO THE MARRIED COUPLE"
everyone clapped and i've never felt happier
