Chapter 1: Strings of Dentiny

[Jennings POV]

I was doing some algebra, I might be 8 but I'm smart. "Jennings!" I hear someone call out to me. "Yeah?" I say back. A girl with orange hair walks in. "Come on! They need us." My best friend, Kalley says. "Didn't they need us to fix a toy yesterday?" I ask. "Yep," Kalley says annoyed. "Which toy did we fix yesterday?" I ask. "Dogday? I don't know man." Kalley rolles her eyes. I sigh. "Let's go," I say getting out of my chair, walking towards the door, and walking out with Kalley.

[Kalley's Pov]

Me and Jennings walk into the maintenance room. "There's my favorite child duo!" The scientist, Mike says ruffling Jennings hair. "Hi, Mike," Jennings says annoyed. I wave. Mike smiles. "Well we have a new one today, he's a cat," Mike says. "A cat?" Jennings questions. I look confused. "Yep." Mike smiles. I sigh, this is gonna be a long day.

[Leah's pov]

"Okay children say bye to Theo in 3...2...1!" Mommy long legs says. Everyone yells after. "Bye Theo!" Mommy long legs have always been my favorite, I don't hate the others tho. A brunette girl runs up and hugs me. "Lorelai!" I yell. Lorelai laughs. I push Lorelai off of me, "not funny!" I yell. Lorelai keeps laughing. "Sorry." She apologizes. I roll my eyes. Lorelai hugs me. I hug back. "So Theo finally got adopted!" Lorelai says. I nod. "I wish we could finally get adopted," I complain. "I'm sure we will very soon," Lorelai says. "Come on children! Time to get to school!" Mommy says. Lorelai scoffs. "I hate school so much," Lorelai complains. I elbow Lorelai. "Come on Lorelai. Don't think like that." I say she rolls her eyes. We both walk into the school.

[Lorelai's pov]

"I don't wanna go to school," I complain. "Well, we kinda have to Lorelai." Leah rolls her eyes. "Well, it's boring!" I keep complaining. "I'll see you in class." Leah gets up and walks towards the classroom, like hell I'm gonna learn today.

[Leah's pov]

I sit down at my desk as the bell rings, I don't see Lorelai here. 'Must be skipping again.' I think to myself. "Where's Lorelai?" Mrs. Delight asks. I shrug. "Maybe she's sick?" Our classmate, Jeremiah says. I sigh. "Don't worry children, I'll send my sisters to find her." Mrs. Delight says. I roll my eyes. As if they could find Lorelai, she's a good hider.

[Jennings' pov]

"There you go, Mike," I say, cleaning his hands off. Kalley's in the back drawing the huge toy in front of her. I smile. "Hey, short one! What are we naming him?" I ask. Kalley looks up from her notebook and thinks.

"Catnap?"
