Day Twenty-Six, Second Moon, Hunting Year Five Hundred and Four
The uncles are going door to door again. This time, they're questioning people. They'll reach our side of the Village in a day or two. Six more people have died of the curse and two of them were uncles. I don't think they're going to find the source of this curse -- not by going door to door -- if they want a powerful witch, it seems like they should be looking toward the woods -- but I do think more people are going to die of sickness.
What happens when they get to our house? Will they decide Mama has finally turned into a witch? I don't want them to take her away.
